A Great Month of Learning, Service, and Community at Rotary
The past month has been filled with outstanding speakers, meaningful conversations, and great fellowship. We were thrilled to welcome a variety of guests who shared their expertise and inspired our members.
We kicked off the month with a visit from Congressman Russ Fulcher, drawing one of our largest crowds of the year. Congressman Fulcher discussed current issues affecting Idaho and Washington, D.C., and took questions from members during an engaging and informative discussion. It was a fantastic way to start the month and a testament to our club's commitment to staying informed and connected.
Next, we welcomed Belongco, who shared their mission of building stronger communities through connection, support, and belonging. Members also enjoyed a visit from an ice cream cart, making for a fun and memorable meeting filled with both fellowship and learning.
Our third speaker was Joey Jenkins from MY102.7, who gave us an entertaining look behind the scenes of local radio and shared stories about connecting with our community through broadcasting.
We wrapped up the month with Janice Fulkerson, who spoke about the Ghana Water Project and the life-changing impact of providing clean, reliable water to communities in need. Her presentation served as a powerful reminder of Rotary's commitment to service, both locally and around the world.
A sincere thank you to each of our speakers for sharing their time and perspectives with our club. Every meeting offered something unique, and we're grateful for another month of learning, fellowship, and service. We look forward to seeing what next month has in store!

Last week, we learned about Belong Co., a local nonprofit dedicated to providing social and employment opportunities that empower adults with disabilities to discover and embrace their abilities.
Learn more about the Belong Co story here: https://www.ktvb.com/video/news/local/outreach/sevens-hero/7s-hero-former-special-ed-teacher-launches-nonprofit-for-adults-with-disabilities-in-boise/277-6fa247c3-3733-4f23-8a2e-bf4af1dd7938
Belong Co. offers two programs:
💼 Employment Opportunities: Adults with disabilities can earn wages, develop workplace skills, and find purpose by working at an ice cream pop-up cart, staffing at Negranti, or serving at a mobile coffee cart and the Friday Coffee House.
🤩 Social Events: Belong Co. hosts 4–5 free social events each month, offering participants a variety of opportunities to connect with same-age peers and enjoy new experiences.
Thank you Belong Co., for spending time with us at our Tuesday meeting! 🍦
