Personal training both in-person and online

08/08/2024

I'm sharing a personal journey to highlight a powerful truth: strength training goes beyond just improving appearance. As a personal trainer for seven years, I've always believed in walking the talk. This year, my own resilience was tested when I faced a stage 0 breast cancer diagnosis, followed by a total mastectomy and reconstruction.

What stood out most during my recovery was how my solid fitness foundation made a difference. My strong legs made standing and moving easier; my core strength helped me manage daily tasks with minimal pain. Strength training provided me with practical benefits far beyond the gym.

Are you ready to build not just a better body, but also a resilient one? Whether you're facing a challenge or aiming to live your best life, let me help you develop a personalized plan to face whatever comes your way. Let's work together to enhance your strength, resilience, and overall well-being.

Contact me today to start your journey to a stronger, more capable you.

There is a misconception that strength training is only for the young or for athletes. But did you know that even people into their 80s and 90s can benefit from strength training and build muscle mass? This increased muscle mass can lead to improved health outcomes. Whether you'd like to maintain your independence, improve your strength or stamina for your hobbies, or just become more durable as you age, I have the resources and experience to help you. I have worked with and had great success training clients 60 years and older. I am so passionate about training this population that I offer a senior discount. Contact me to find out more!

Do you want to get into better shape, but are concerned about injuries, confused about which exercises you should do, or are uncomfortable working out in front of others? I've got what you need!
Hi! I'm Amy, and I am a former pharmacist turned personal trainer. One of the most frustrating aspects of my job as a pharmacist was seeing the number of prescriptions filled for problems that exercise could help solve. For example, losing as little as 5 pounds can lower you blood pressure. Exercise can also improve the symptoms of depression and anxiety! That is not to say that medications do not have their time and place, because they certainly do. However, why take a medication for life when a few lifestyle modifications can make you happier, healthier, and stronger?
I know how confusing it is to begin a new fitness regimen. There is a lot of misinformation and predatory tactics involved in the fitness industry to make you feel "less than". I want you to feel confident and strong in the skin you're in while helping you reach your ultimate goals. I can help you navigate your journey to improved health in a safe, supportive, and private setting. Give me a call; your initial consultation is free! You have nothing to lose...except, maybe, some bad habits.

Hello! It's Amy with RxForFit! I wanted to introduce myself and tell you a little bit about myself and my business. I am a former pharmacist turned personal trainer. I have been working as a personal trainer since 2017 and I primarily focus on strength training. In July of 2022, my family and I moved from Houston, TX to Naperville.
Unfortunately, that meant I had to build my client base back up from scratch. Privacy is a huge driver for me and I know a lot of people prefer the anonymity of working out from home vs a big gym. To that end, I spent the majority of 2022 and into 2023 renovating the basement in my new home into a studio space that can accommodate almost any fitness need. I am happy to say that RxForFit is up and running and ready to meet *your* needs.
So, if you are new to strength training, if you prefer to workout in a private, quiet space, if you need a trainer who will be your biggest champion and cheerleader, please do not hesitate to contact me! You can also find out more about me on my website rxforfit.com.
I look forward to hearing from you!!
