Quick early snook smack down an a few schoolmasters..seems like I catch a few after every storm passes.
Snook bite was excellent in the dirty water after all the wind the last few days..
Few good ones were able to get past the ladyfish and jacks… lots of bait around today with too many jacks, ladyfish and mack’s destroying them..
Pretty solid snook bite all day with a few redfish, jacks, trout an a bonus tarpon mixed in..
Took the boys out to tug on some bull sharks.. plenty around still with some snook early on swimbaits.. Ended with a big lizard
Stroked a few shrimp eaters… the wind has been honking nw for days. Ready for some calm conditions
Crazy how white this redfish was in dark tannic stained waters.. bites staying hot with snook, redfish and tarpon..
I’m not sure how long this epic bite will last but making it count.. huge redfish, not sure how many slots and over slot snook caught today, tarpon and huge bull sharks.
Snook bite remains hot with some really nice redfish and jacks mixed in.. bait is back and super thick..
Hurricane Ian pushed in some really big beautiful snook.. wore em out with Bryan who slammed out in 5 casts… schedule is pretty clear right now with lots of cancellations but fishing is great, restaurants open all over Naples and downtown 5th ave..
Gulfs still rough and sandy but found some mullet and spanking the snook. Naples Inshore Fishing is open for business and the bite is fire..
All good in Naples, Fl.. Pipes has been up since 5am with me watching the wind and rain.. Finally got her chance to go outside to grab some pics.. Powers on, house and boat are good an everyone is safe and happy. We dodged a major bullet but praying for those in its path and surge isn’t as bad as what’s forecast in Naples..
Redfish bite is really picking up on the high water. Snook bite is sporadic but finding some nicer fish and tarpon are showing more and more… Soldier Tournament over the weekend and event dinners were a blast… October is gonna be insane once it cools off
It’s getting right again… big tarpon will make a great showing as we get deeper into Sept and Oct on their way south..
Early morning mini tarpon and mid day reds.. a great combo
It’s been fun in the backwaters with about zero boats around.. small tarpon have been fun, nice redfish on higher water, tons of mangs for fish tacos and a good snook bite but mostly small…
Starting to see some really nice redfish showing up… love the colors on them this time of yr
Paul fished with me last yr all the way from San Fransisco. Came back to knock out some bucket lists before moving back to Paris with the family after being in the states the last few yrs during covid. Knocked out the slam with a bonus jewfish to end it. Kids a great angler
Great guys this morning beating on the jewfish, snook and jacks. Had a big jewfish over a 100lbs try to eat one about 20lbs, fired a jack down and game over. Too big to hold but an epic battle in 20ft of water on the International.. few days off for maintenance and hopefully surf before back to fishing.
Shark whacked this juvi tarpon in the last few days but still put on an amazing display. Jewfish bite remains hot…
These things are becoming a crowd favorite since tarpon season as slowed down… what other fish pulls hard and is willing to eat at pretty much any tide in the backwaters.
Naples Inshore Fishing kids camp put a hurting on em this week.. get kids out on the water an away from the video games..
Homan boys smoked em this morning… big tarpon are thinning out now with high temps but small tarpon, snook, redfish, jewfish and tons of nice snapper..
Steady grinding tarpon and snook…
Sammy finally got his bucket list tarpon. Kids caught about everything that swims now in the Naples area…
Nice Father’s day tarpon and finished with some snook.. started out super choppy but they were swimming..
Slicked out, beyond hot, tons of boat traffic and a beautiful fish for Charlie..
Early morning tarpon still biting on this big full moon with some bonus offshore snook…
Summertime is family time and catching big snook in the heat was fun today…
Blistered the big snook, 55 snook in 4hrs with around 15 fish between 30-41ln. Nice to have a backup when it’s to rough for tarpon…
Slicked out and stroked em early…
Beat the holiday madness with and got a couple good ones.. still blowing but the tarpon are cooperating.
Absolute giant this morning.. come get some this Summer.
Set a record for oldest anglers to catch a tarpon on my boat. 85 and 81yrs old each got a bucket list fish.. probably my two of my coolest catches in my career
Windy, rough, no sun but grinded it out going 3-7… it sure would be nice if the wind would stop blowing.
The grind is real these days.. rough was an understatement but grinded it out. Finally had to come inside for snook, trout and a bonus juvi tarpon.
Great guys with a quick trip before heading back to Orlando. It’s been a few weeks since I’ve snook fished but with the gulf super rough tarpon weren’t an option early.
The rewards of tarpon fishing always make the obsession worth it… it’s been a grind so far with high winds, dirty water, no patterns two days in a row, fish swimming every direction but that’s why we love it…
The most amazing fish that swims… bait, plug, fly you pick your poison they are truly what keeps me fishing.
Buzzer be**er.. choppy, weak tide, lost three early then they vanished till this little straggle came rolling through late in the day.
