🏴‍☠️ CHAMPIONS 🏴‍☠️

What a weekend for our 11U boys! 🏴‍☠️⚾️🏆

After securing the #1 seed on Saturday, they battled through three back-to-back-to-back games on Sunday to become TOURNAMENT CHAMPIONS!

They faced rain and lightning delays, deficits, doubt, nerves, noise, and frustration—but through it all, they stayed together. They found their fight, trusted one another, and showed the heart that defines Pirate baseball.

We talk often about the brotherhood these boys share, and this weekend brought that meaning to life. They picked each other up, found their spark, and believed in themselves and one another when it mattered most.

The trophy is certainly worth celebrating, but watching this team come together, fight for each other, and believe in what they could accomplish is what made this weekend unforgettable.

Proud of these boys. Proud of their fight. Proud to be Pirates! 🏴‍☠️

Give it up for our Tournament MVP, #22, Carson Landis who showed extreme improvement, composure, and leadership! He made plays when they mattered most and his bat was consistent this weekend! Way to go Carson!

Let’s hear it for # 17, Ryan Claassen for another 💣 out of the park! This moment MATTERED. This hit sparked the fire in the boys to keep fighting! So proud of you, Ryan and excited to see your growth with the Pirates!

People see the lineup. They see the substitutions, the wins, the losses, and the decisions they may not always understand or agree with.

But what they don’t see is everything that happens behind the scenes. They may think they understand but they don't.

They don’t see the countless hours spent thinking about these boys, planning practices, making decisions, having difficult conversations, answering questions, replaying moments in your head, and wondering if you could have done something differently. They don’t see the late nights, the early mornings, the second-guessing, the sacrifices, or the time that could have been spent with your own family.

But we see it. And we appreciate it more than you probably realize.

Thank you for pouring so much of yourself into our boys. Not just during practices and games, but in the moments that happen when no one is watching. The conversations, the encouragement when they are struggling, the accountability when they need it, and the reminders to keep going when things don’t go their way.
You are teaching them so much more than baseball.

You are teaching them how to handle adversity, how to work hard when things aren’t easy, how to be accountable for their actions, how to be a good teammate, and how to believe in themselves. You challenge them to be better, but you also remind them to be themselves.
And one day, they may not remember every game, every score, or every lineup—but they will remember the coaches who believed in them, pushed them, and cared enough to expect more from them.

We are incredibly grateful to have not 1 but 2 of those coaches.

Thank you for investing your time, your energy, your heart, and so much of your life into these boys. Thank you for helping shape them into confident, hardworking, respectful young men—not just better baseball players.

We know coaching is not always easy. We know you don’t get everything right, because none of us do. But we also see you learning, growing, adapting, and continuing to show up for them.
And that means more than you know.

These boys are lucky to have you in their corner. And as parents, we are so thankful that you are helping guide them through these years that will shape who they become.

Thank you to all the assistant coaches through the years! We see you to. Thank for stepping up to coach a team that you most of you didn’t even have a kid on. That’s real love for the kids and the sport

The bats came alive during the 11U Pirates’ inaugural Fall tournament!

#00 Eli Moreno started things off with a 3-run home run in the top of the 1st, followed by #16 Chris Napoles launching a 2-run home run in the top of the 4th!

Way to set the tone, boys! 💣⚾️
