It is truly remarkable to observe the level of support the hockey community can rally behind a concept for a team and potential future league. Just over a month ago, I shared an idea that has since gained significant traction, with numerous cities expressing interest in establishing community-owned teams and developing a league that could serve as a feeder system for professional hockey. There are numerous elite female players who lack opportunities to compete at the professional level. By collaborating and pooling our resources, we can create a solution rather than relying on major corporations to dictate the direction of the hockey community. Ultimately, it is the community that fuels these corporations financially; therefore, it would be beneficial for us to unite and develop something extraordinary together.

League Development Update
Thank you to everyone who has reached out and shown interest.
What started as a simple post on a local hockey page just one month ago has quickly grown into a nationwide movement. The level of organic interest has been incredible, and we are now actively working to evolve this momentum into a structured league and sustainable business.
Due to the rapid growth, our immediate focus is on organizing and building the proper foundation. As interest continues to expand, we will be bringing in additional individuals to fill key roles and support the league’s development.
While we are still some time away from putting teams on the ice, the interest and demand are clearly there. My fiancĂŠ, our partners, and I are currently focused on strengthening the business framework, legal structure, and content strategy to ensure long-term success.
To those who have expressed interest in investing—thank you. We are taking the necessary steps to ensure everything is properly structured from a legal and operational standpoint, with the goal of helping each city successfully build teams and provide opportunities for players.
This began as an idea just a month ago, and we are currently a small team of fewer than five people building this from the ground up. We recognize the importance of experience and are in the process of bringing on individuals with the right backgrounds to help guide the next phase.
We truly appreciate your patience, excitement, and support. This will become a league—we are committed to making it happen the right way and as soon as possible.
If you are interested in helping build the league, supporting operations, or potentially playing, we welcome you to get involved. Opportunities will continue to grow as we move forward.
We will be scheduling a league-wide meeting for all interested parties in the near future.

Thank you again for your support.

What motivates you the most? Is it encouragement or haters?

We’re 1 month in.
No full media team.
No on-ice footage yet.
So yeah — we’re using AI for now.
But trust us… real content is coming.
And when it does — it’s going to hit different.
This is just the foundation.
We’re building something new — a professional women’s hockey league from the ground up.
The Founders Professional Women’s Hockey League (FPWHL) is designed to give elite players a place to continue competing at a high level — especially those who go undrafted but still have the talent, drive, and passion for the game.
Today, over 90% of women’s hockey players see their careers end after college due to limited opportunities, low roster availability, and the lack of a true development pipeline.
We’re here to change that.
FPWHL is built on a community-driven model, focused on development, sustainability, and long-term growth — with the vision of one day serving as a true development system for the professional game.
Women’s hockey is growing faster than ever. The talent is there. The demand is rising.
Now it’s time to build the infrastructure.
Join us in shaping the future of the game.

The Founders Professional Women’s Hockey League aims to transform the landscape of women's hockey. Currently, well over 90% of women finish their hockey careers after high school graduation. For those who play beyond high school, the vast majority see their competitive careers end at the collegiate level due to limited professional opportunities.

Historically, the path forward has been constrained by:

- A very limited number of professional roster spots
- Compensation that has not supported long-term careers
- The absence of a true development pipeline comparable to the NHL system

Despite the recent momentum surrounding the Professional Women's Hockey League, many athletes still graduate without a clear next step, leading them to step away from the game despite their ability and desire to continue competing.

We are in a pivotal moment. Women’s hockey is experiencing unprecedented growth across the United States and Canada — from youth participation to fan engagement to professional visibility. The interest is there. The talent is there. The support is building.

Now, we have the opportunity to bridge the gap. What if we created a new space for players to continue their careers? A model built around development, community, and sustainability — similar to a farm system or community-based program, designed specifically for women’s hockey.

We have the players. We have growing financial and cultural momentum. Now we need the infrastructure — and the people willing to help build it.

Introducing The Founders Professional Women’s Hockey League. If you’re interested in being part of this movement, we want to hear from you. Let’s take the next step together and continue growing the game.
