If you’re using GLP-1 for weight loss,
I cannot emphasize enough how important it is to strength train 💪 and maintain muscle mass while losing excess fat at such a rapid rate.

Here’s why -

1. Prevents Excessive Muscle Loss During Weight Loss

* When weight comes off quickly, the body doesn’t just lose fat — it also breaks down lean muscle tissue for energy.
* Studies show that 20–40% of weight lost without resistance training can be lean muscle, which slows metabolism and weakens the body.
* Muscle preservation ensures more of the weight lost is fat mass, not muscle mass.

* Muscle is metabolically active tissue — it burns calories at rest.

When using a leg press machine, or any machine for that matter, you really don’t want to say to yourself,
“My back feels tight after using that.”

I have used the machine pictured on the left in my business since 2011, and grateful bc all the equipment was free to use.

But…none of us (myself included) have really ever “enjoyed” that particular machine due to the discomfort it causes in most people’s lower backs.

I did get a lumbar cushion to correct the issue which has helped, but let’s be honest…I shouldn’t have to do that if it were properly designed, and frankly just looks unprofessional.

But coming in May that issue will be no more with the high quality equipment arriving from Imagine Strength (pictured on the right)

Proper low back support along with multi-level adjustments throughout the machine to assist anyone, any age and any ailment they need to work around or even alleviate altogether.

This machine is designed to be much more comfortable on the spine and more effective for the targeted muscles such as quadriceps, hamstrings & glutes,

Using lumbar support, very adjustable seat back, and the movement is in the platform which I prefer far more than the movement be in the seat.
