Hi friends ๐Ÿ˜Œ
Long time, no see! This year Iโ€™ve been on a quest to experience the most spiritual places in the world. This journey has guided me to a small, family run Ayurvedic hospital in Kerala, India. ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ณ

I believe that we can only pour into other beautiful humansโ€™ wellness once weโ€™ve first poured into ourselves. Which, of course is a life long journey. Being at this hospital is a big step for me to fully detox while connecting to a culture steeped in ancient holistic healing.

Hi hi ๐ŸŒฟ
Lately, Iโ€™ve been learning about the different paths of yoga. Before the physical practice that most of us know & love today, the Bhagavad Gita outlined the Trimฤrga or three paths of yoga:
(1) Bhakti~ yoga of love & devotion
(2) Karma~ yoga of action & selfless service
(3) Jnana~ yoga of knowledge & seeking truth

The path of karma yoga helps me put a name to why I love teaching. These photos are from a month spent living and volunteering at a community center in rural Vietnam. Each day there, tho not always comfortable, filled me up from the inside out. Karma yoga is all about doing an action without seeking reward. I donโ€™t know if my lessons will live on in the lives of my students, tho I know that Iโ€™ve done my duty, lived my dharma, simply by giving them love & guidance while they walk their own paths.

Iโ€™m sharing this because yoga can look different for each of us at different stages of life, and thatโ€™s the true beauty of the practice. You carry it with you wherever you go.

Getting upside down is such an empowering practice ๐Ÿงš๐ŸผI had a sweet & playful time teaching this headstand workshop.

We built up the body, focusing on shoulder mobility, core strength, & feeling comfortable with hips above heart. By the end of class, each brave student nailed an assisted inversion and, more importantly, took home new techniques to incorporate into their personal practices.

Completing this 42 hours course with guru Mahendra has been a dream come true. We studied how to balance ourselves & students through ancient techniques used by the creator of modern day Reiki. The healing vibrations of Tibetan metal bowls, Buddhist mantras, drums, & gongs help bring equilibrium to energy centers throughout the body.

I love playing crystal singing bowls to guide students into a deeper state of meditation~ transitioning to metal bowls and shifting the focus to alchemy + healing is profound.

Thrilled to weave these new techniques into my offerings. ๐ŸŒ€

Prayer~ a simple yet powerful tool to connect mind, body, & spirit. Maybe itโ€™s religious or spiritual. Maybe itโ€™s purely a moment of self reflection or an eco of gratitude for the moment at hand. Either way, creating an opportunity for yourself or your students to pray in a yoga class gives space for deeper self discovery. Prayer roots meaning to movement.
