On this Girls and Women in sports day, I want to thank all the women that have made me the person I am today…

However today is a sad day in the community. For we have lost one of the very best. She played a main role in my growth as a woman and an athlete. She became my second mom, she cheered for me when I was at my best and hugged me when I was at my worst. If she wasn’t coaching me, she was coming to my games and supporting me in the stands.

Years later, as roles are reversed. I hope to impact female athletes like you have.
There is never going to be anyone as great as you, but I will do my best to use what you’ve taught me to grow in develop the next generation. Your legacy will always live on, within all the woman you took under your wing.

Another season in the books, another chapter closed.

To the coaches, specifically one. Thank you for taking a chance on me and giving me this incredible opportunity to fall back in love with the sport. You have played such a key role in my success as a coach, an athlete, and a person. I will forever be appreciative for you taking me in on your staff, even if I was paid in bagels and apparel.

To the women I’ve met and worked with over the past couple years, thank you for all that you have taught me. You are a major part of who I am today and I am beyond grateful for the experience we shared. It has been a pleasure to watch all of you grow into the women you want to be. I will always be here, even if you need help applying for a credit card.

Lastly, to the girl that came into my life and showed me what it was like to be unconditionally loved and supported with following my dreams. Thank you for never looking down on them and helping me get on a path that made me happy. There is no words for what you have done for me, and how thankful I am for you.

Next Chapter - Smashville

I will be taking on the role of Coordinator of girls hockey at TPH academy in Nashville. Here I will be taking what I have learned from everyone I have met over the course of my career to teach and aid young women In their dreams.
