This is the part most people don’t see…
because it doesn’t feel like you’re doing anything wrong.

Something feels off.

Your energy isn’t the same.
Your sleep doesn’t fully restore you.
Your body just isn’t responding like it used to.

So you do what you’ve always done.

You push harder.

You clean things up.

Train more.

Dial everything in even tighter.
And for a moment… it feels like the right move.

But now?

Still trying to figure out if high carb or low carb is right for your blood sugar, weight or cholesterol? ⁠

This 2001 study ran the experiment — no calorie counting, no portion control — and the results were hard to argue with⁠

In my previous post we saw how the traditional Hawaiian diet of 78% carb and 7% fat produced improvements in weight, blood pressure, and cholesterol in just 21 days back in 1991 🍍 ⁠

When someone tell you that carbs aren’t essential... they either don’t understand the meaning of “essential” in nutrition OR⁠

they are manipulating the term intentionally to make you think that carbs aren’t beneficial 🎯⁠

Essential means your body can’t make it so you have to consume it to get the required amount⁠
⁠
❌️Saturated fat is NOT essential⁠
❌️Mono-unsaturated fat is NOT essential⁠
❌️More than about 13g of protein is NOT essential⁠

Essential macronutrients are:⁠
1-3g Omega 6 (polyunsaturated)⁠
1-3g Omega 3 (polyunsaturated)⁠
13g in total of a combo of 9 specific amino acids⁠

Most people don’t realize they’re in this cycle…because nothing “breaks” all at once.

You’re still showing up.

Still working.

Still training.

Still doing what you’ve always done.

But something feels… off.
