Self Love Sunday…perception and our best laid plans.

Sometimes life pivots us in unexpected directions that were not part of “the plan”. It can bring change and challenges that leave us suddenly asking “wtf”😳I have experienced so many pivots over the past few years that all I could do is finally surrender.

Navigating constant change shifted my perception, and instead of asking “why is this happening” I ask “what is this here to teach me and why”. I now call these pivots Divine Redirects and do my best to surrender and trust the process, even if I don’t understand why in the that moment. The Divine will always guide us on our highest path forward, and in time those redirects will reveal themselves and all start to make sense. We just need to trust the “dance” and pivot accordingly🧑🏻‍🩰🫶🏼

Whether by free will or force, starting over takes tremendous courage, and you are braver than you know. Be proud of that ❤️

Actions always, always speak louder than words. Establishing and protecting your boundaries will separate the wheat from the chaff real quick. Be inconvenient.♥️

Self Love Sunday…no one is coming to save you. It is not someone else’s responsibility to do the deep work necessary to ensure that you heal. Shadow work, deep diving into the muck to peer into the dark crevices of the soul, is our own responsibility. Yes it’s uncomfortable. And it can be incredibly painful and difficult to see where we’ve abandoned ourselves. To truly sit with ourselves and be able to hold space and be our own sacred container takes immense surrender and courage. We can’t outsource growth or our soul’s evolution to someone or something outside of ourselves. Not sitting in circle, not going to therapy, not a “guru”. While these tools can be helpful and can assist us in our journey, we are still giving our power away to an outside authority. True healing and spiritual growth is our responsibility alone. Because while the workshops, energy sessions and sacred circles are lovely, not one person there is coming to save you. That job is yours and yours alone.❤️

Self Love Sunday…choosing peace over chaos.
I have finally reached a point in my life where my baseline is peace. I lived in fight or flight for years, an unstable environment, a constant need to read the room and adjust accordingly. Walking on eggshells, never knowing what version to expect.

When chaos becomes the norm we absorb it somatically, becoming hyper vigilant to the slightest threat or tension. A truly healed and regulated nervous system takes a lot of time, patience and granting yourself grace. It’s trusting the quiet and calm without waiting for the other shoe to drop. The longer you exist within dysfunction, the longer it takes to trust what peace feels like.

Peace feels nourishing.
Peace feels grounded.
Peace feels like love.
Peace feels like home.
And I fiercely protect my home❤️

Living inside this reclamation of Self, I will no longer be making my spirit small so others can rise. I am no longer available to invest in relationships that do not have the capacity to give back equally, fully and humbly. I will not bend over backwards to lift another up who does not carry their own weight while building the dream. And I will never again protect someone whose mask is nothing but a facade of the beauty, strength and grace I created from love so they could live a comfortable lie. I fully and completely reclaim all the parts of my Self that another took to fill a void. May each and every part be completely and fully returned. And so it is❤️

Self Love Sunday…Mother’s Day❤️
You were never supposed to be here, flesh and blood, Divine lights of my life. I was told it was highly unlikely I would ever have you, that hysterectomy was my last and final option. But I knew the “specialist” were wrong. Your souls whispered into my heart “please wait just a little longer, we promise we are coming and it will be beautiful.” And here you are. Not just one but two came. My greatest gifts. My Holy blessings. I truly can’t remember what life was like before you. This journey called Motherhood has been the realist, most raw, layered and rewarding journey I have ever known. The most sacred path I have ever walked. And I am so incredibly grateful I get to do it with you. and thank you for choosing me, for choosing us. You are my greatest teachers, my gurus. And I love you both to the moon, back and beyond.

Sending so much love to all the mama’s today, human, fur or energetic. And sending love to all those missing their mama and working through their mother wounds. This work is sacred and I see you ❤️
