ABOUT LAST NIGHT: (WWE Raw Recap)

Sami Zayn and Liv Morgan both survived title defenses, but clean wins apparently weren’t on the company budget this week.

Zayn beat Je’Von Evans before The Vision showed up to hand out some post-match violence. Meanwhile, Liv Morgan got bailed out by Judgment Day, survived Becky Lynch’s challenge, and then watched Tiffany Stratton attempt a cash-in. Dominik Mysterio pulled Liv to safety before the deal was official. Nothing says champion material like needing a full-time security detail.

Bayley beat Lyra Valkyria in a No DQ match, Iyo Sky and Raquel Rodriguez continued their ongoing argument through physical assault, and Ethan Page and Big Cass picked up a win over Chad Gable and Dragon Lee.

Solo Sikoa accepted Royce Keys’ challenge, while Je’Von Evans and Penta are set to face The Vision at Crown Jewel.

BOTTOM LINE: Plenty of good wrestling, championship chaos, and Judgment Day proving once again that Liv Morgan’s greatest championship advantage might be having approximately 47 people willing to interfere on her behalf.

ABOUT LAST NIGHT (TNA iMPACT! recap): Cheating, chaos, and security guards getting their cardio in. Just another night in TNA.

Avery Styles overcame Frankie Kazarian’s interference to beat Joe Alonzo, while The System and Speedball Mountain turned a promo into a full-blown parking lot mentality brawl.

Jason Hotch retained the International Championship against Mustafa Ali in a 2-out-of-3 Falls match, with a little rope-assisted shenanigans and a timely distraction helping seal the deal. Because apparently winning clean is optional.

Meanwhile, Indi Hartwell retained the Knockouts Championship by DQ after Ash By Elegance attacked Xia Brookside. The post-match beatdown continued until Daria Rae sent security to break things up. Somebody get those guards hazard pay!

NEXT STOP: DESTINATION X! Ultimate X matches, the World X-Cup, and championship opportunities are on the way. In other words, more high-flying insanity and questionable life choices are coming to TNA.

Most wrestlers train in a ring. Owen Hart and Ken Shamrock decided to settle their differences in a basement that looked like it was one bad decision away from becoming a crime scene.

At Fully Loaded 1998, the two stepped into Stu Hart’s legendary Dungeon in Calgary for a match surrounded by low ceilings, solid walls, rusty barbells, and absolutely ZERO concern for workplace safety. Shamrock even entered through the kitchen, because apparently the front door was too damn safe.

Forget the Performance Center. Stu Hart trained wrestlers in a basement where the biggest threat wasn’t your opponent. It was standing up too fast.

Most daughters get a pony, a car, or a big wedding. Stephanie McMahon got to beat the hell out of her dad on pay-per-view.

At No Mercy 2003, Vince and Stephanie McMahon made WWE history in the first and only Father vs. Daughter “I Quit” Match. Submission holds, a lead pipe, and enough family drama to make Thanksgiving at the McMahon house a full-contact sport.

Some families settle their differences with a conversation. The McMahons settle theirs with a steel pipe and a referee asking if somebody quits.

ABOUT LAST NIGHT: (AEW Dynamite Recap)

Apparently, nobody in AEW knows how to have a normal conversation without starting a 12-person brawl.

The Don Callis Family handled the Young Bucks, then helped beat down Ospreay and Copeland before Darby Allin and a returning Steven Borden showed up to save the day. Blood and Guts is two weeks away, so naturally, everyone’s already trying to kill each other.

Jay White turned on Orange Cassidy and Kyle O’Reilly, The Dogs got involved, and the ring turned into an all-you-can-beat buffet. Meanwhile, Mercedes Moné declared herself the spotlight, Marina Shafir called her out, and Moné promptly chose the power of walking away.

Nick Wayne demanded an apology from Chris Jericho, who actually delivered some surprisingly solid career advice before telling the kid not to screw it up. Wrestling’s weirdest mentorship program is officially in session.

Elsewhere, Hangman and Swerve teased another showdown, Queen Aminata earned a TBS title shot, and Ilja Dragunov made his AEW in-ring debut by beating Mike Bailey.

AEW: Where alliances last about as long as a gas station sushi dinner, and everybody’s one promo away from catching a beatdown.

With Halloween creeping up, it’s only fitting to bust out this retro Undertaker Monster Figure! I think I picked this bad boy up around 1998 or 1999, but honestly, my memory is a little foggy on that one.

The Undertaker has always been my all-time favorite WWF Superstar, and I even got to see him take on Hulk Hogan right here in Nashville at Judgment Day in 2002! Now THAT’S a memory that never gets old.

ABOUT LAST NIGHT: (RAW Recap)

Roman Reigns finally showed up to help his family beat the brakes off 946. Apparently, family drama only counts when the Tribal Chief decides to leave the house.

Reigns also got in Sami Zayn’s face ahead of Crown Jewel, because nothing says brotherhood like reminding your former buddy that you think he sucks.

Elsewhere, Penta beat Bron Breakker, Chelsea Green and Iyo Sky picked up a win, Joe Hendry got bonked with a guitar, and Bayley continued her lifelong commitment to being an absolute menace.

Chad Gable stole a win in a banger of a triple threat before Ethan Page and Big Cass showed up to make sure nobody left the building without catching a beating.

Business as usual on Raw. Everybody’s fighting, nobody trusts anybody, and apparently the solution to every problem is hitting someone with an object

Jerry Lawler once slapped Andy Kaufman on national television, and somehow THAT wasn’t the weirdest situation he ever found himself in. At Survivor Series 1994, the King went to war with Doink the Clown in a match where BOTH teams were made up of little people dressed like their respective captains. Let that sink in.

Lawler had a team of mini-Kings. Doink had a squad of mini-Doinks. And somewhere in WWE headquarters, somebody looked at this idea and said, “Yep. THAT’S the main event energy we need.” Dink. Wink. Pink. Cheesy. This wasn’t wrestling. It was a damn circus with a tag team division.
