We’re a group of former softball coaches and current umpires who have spent more than a decade around travel softball. After years of coaching, watching our own daughters play, and working tournaments from the umpire side, we felt there was an opportunity to create a better tournament experience for teams, coaches, players, and families.

What Makes NASA Fastpitch Different?

⚾ 7-INNING GAMES

That’s the big one.

Instead of building our tournaments around short timed games, NASA Fastpitch is built around playing 7 innings. We want teams to have the opportunity to play more actual softball and give coaches more opportunities to develop and evaluate their players.

Our standard tournament format features:

3-Game Guarantee
Two Pool Games on Saturday
Single-Elimination Championship Play on Sunday
7-Inning Games
Saturday games scheduled back-to-back whenever possible
Approximately 20–30 minutes between games
Less time sitting around the complex waiting for your next game
More meaningful innings for your players

We tested this concept at tournaments in New Jersey and New York and received an overwhelmingly positive response. Now we’re bringing NASA Fastpitch tournaments to the Lehigh Valley and surrounding areas.

A different tournament Experience

Our staff is made up of former travel softball coaches and current certified umpires. Like many organizations, our journey began more than 12 years ago when our daughters first started playing travel softball. After spending years coaching, umpiring, and attending hundreds of tournaments, we realized there was an opportunity to improve the traditional tournament experience for both players and families.
Last fall, we tested our tournament format at several events in New Jersey and Upstate New York, and the response from coaches was overwhelmingly positive. Since many of us call the Lehigh Valley home, we're excited to bring that same experience to our local softball community this fall.
What Makes NASA Fastpitch Different?
Our tournaments feature full 7-inning games—not timed games.
Each event includes:
3-game guarantee
Two pool games on Saturday
Single-elimination bracket play on Sunday
On Saturday, teams play their two pool games back-to-back with approximately a 20–30 minute break between games. Instead of spending an entire day at the ballpark waiting hours between 80-minute games, your team can play, compete, and still have time to enjoy the rest of the weekend.
Most importantly, your players get more innings than they would in a traditional timed-game tournament. Coaches can manage lineups based on innings instead of worrying about the clock, giving more players meaningful opportunities while allowing games to develop naturally.
