We took a little trip up to Baton Rouge to dance with an amazing gathering of Louisiana Belly Dancers. We opened the Time Traveller’s Veil with The Big Bang. Original Choreography by Performed by Kryss, and .vasquez Huge thanks to and for hosting us.
If French Quarter Fest is just too much and you’re craving so low-stim, easy breathing reset time, we have multiple options this weekend. Tsiftiteli is the style of belly dance that originated in Greece and Asia Minor Greek communities. This workshop will give students the opportunity to learn a bit of the history that shaped this dance and music, a framework to understanding the basic steps and ‘feeling’ of Tsiftiteli, as well as a few different types of music within Tsiftiteli culture through the years. This workshop will give students a few different combinations that can be incorporated into their own dance. The vibe is FUN and FREE! OPA!
