There’s just something about a classroom… it’s my happy place 💛
The energy, the curiosity, the little voices, the big dreams…it all reminds me why I love what I do. Being surrounded by students who are discovering, questioning, and growing in real time is pure magic.
So grateful I got to spend this morning with and her incredible students. People like her creating spaces for students to grow and thrive remind me that learning is alive, joyful, and full of possibility ✨
Forever grounded in this work.

When the bell rings and the emails pause… who do you become?
💅 Do you reset at the nail salon?
🎢 Chase thrills at a theme park?
🏖️ Sink your toes into the sand somewhere far away?
💆🏽♀️ Unwind with a massage and silence your mind?

What do YOU like to do when ?
And if you’ve got a go-to ritual, tradition, or hidden gem… don’t keep it to yourself. Tag an educator who needs that reminder to rest, reset, and live a little.
Because the best educators don’t just pour out… they fill back up too. 💛

Here’s what I believe:
Meaningful learning still begins with teachers and students. Always.
AI should enhance that relationship, not replace it.
At AI Ignite, I’m sharing a human-centered approach to integration that reduces educator burnout while keeping student thinking at the center.
If you’ve been looking for a way to bring AI into your practice without losing what matters most, this session is for you.

I’m here in New Orleans for the Issues Forum, thanks to and y’all, my heart is full of excitement and hope!
We’re gathering with changemakers and education leaders to reflect on our city’s rich history in the fight for education justice and to build new paths of innovation together.
This reception is at the TEP Center, the very building where, on November 14, 1960, three brave six-year-old girls — Leona Tate, Gail Etienne, and Tessie Prevost — climbed 18 steps to desegregate McDonogh 19 Elementary School. ❤️❤️❤️
Their courage changed everything for my city and this nation.
And today, standing in that same space with Ms. Leona Tate and Ms. Gail Etienne, I’m reminded that education justice isn’t just history, it’s a living legacy.
I am working, planting seeds, praying and manifesting that one day I can join the list of angels of Black Philanthropy to multiply my service and resources in the name of equitable education. My work in education is my life’s calling and I know this experience will be a meaningful one on the journey!
Stay tuned as I share insights from the SEF Forum where I know love, growth, and inspiration are leading the way.

It’s always such a joy when friends from my network visit New Orleans!
I had the pleasure of meeting up with Michelle and her husband, who are here celebrating her birthday! 🥳
I introduced them to The , a cool, immersive experience that beautifully showcases the history of cocktails and spirits in our city.
So grateful for the chance to connect, laugh, and share stories as educators and entrepreneurs. Conversations like these always leave me inspired and reminded of the power of community and creativity!

Today hits different. 💔
Father’s Day will now always be an emotional one for me. My dad is no longer here for me to celebrate in person, but his love, lessons, and legacy are with me every single day. He was one of the most selfless and steady men I’ve ever known, always there, always giving, always guiding.
I learned how to love, lead, and show up from him. The mother I am today is because of the incredible example he and my mom set as parents.
If you’re blessed to have your father or a father figure still with you: CELEBRATE HIM while you can. Say the words, make the call, share the hug, and don’t take the moment for granted.
And to all the fathers out there I know, THANK YOU. Keep showing up, keep loving big, and know that your presence, your protection, and your patience are powerful beyond measure.
Happy Father’s Day to the KINGS, the providers, the protectors, and the hearts of our homes. 💙
