SAVE THE DATE(S) - MAY 18th and 19th
The Semi-Tough Cycling Club and our good friends at Sugar Rush Cycling are proud to partner with Beth's Friends Forever to offer a weekend of bicycle racing and riding opportunities on May 18th and 19th, 2019.
Sunday, May 19th will be the annual Beth's Friends Fondeaux: Gears for Gals, a charitable bike ride benefiting Beth's Friends Forever, supporting women in the New Orleans community who are affected by cancer. 50mi and 32mi options, both crossing the GNO bridge to the Westbank. In addition to the ride, the "Fundeaux at the Fondeaux" after- party at Urban South Brewery will include fun events, food, music and drinks for the whole family! Start/finish will be at Urban South Brewery. Rides start at 7:30 a.m. There will be route support in the form of rest stop locations, traffic control, and SAG.
And ALL NEW THIS YEAR, on Saturday afternoon the day before the fondeaux, STCC and Sugar Rush Cycling present the BFF Federal City Criterium, a race event and criterium clinic designed for ALL RIDER TYPES (from novice riders interested in trying out a bike race to Cat 1 racers). The criterium clinic is open to all, but will focus on individuals with no racing experience that want to try out a bike race. The twilight criterium racing starts at 3pm and goes into the night, with races for novices, juniors, kids, fixed geared bikes, all categories of men and women, and a special "misfit" race for "blue bike" bikeshare bikes and other non-traditional race bikes.
