Today ended a chapter.

1 year ago I was blessed with the opportunity and privilege of leading our 9u team. And it was challenging to adapt.

I had no idea what to expect. All I know is that I had immediately met some incredible girls, and great assistant coaches. We started our journey rough. Literally learning to field ground balls, and to warm up with a purpose. We played a tough fall schedule and went 0-13.

With some great additions and lots of practices, lessons and hard work we turned it around and had an incredible season. 28 wins. More wins than losses as a team. 3 championships. Moment after moment.

But when I close my eyes and I reflect on this season, and this team….

I see the hard work, I see the personal growth, I see the smiles when something big happened and hear the laughs along the way. I see a girl with elation because they overcame a slump, I see high fives between teammates, and hear the cheers from the dugout for the next girl up. That’s what I’ll take from this season

We had a mission. Be proud of the brand we wore on the front of the jersey, and represent the name on the back of the jersey.

Every single girl did that and exceeded all my expectations in that.

Travel softball is a grind. It can give so much, and it can take so much. But in the end, every single ending, is a brand new beginning. A new chapter for each girls personal book of life

And no matter what is wrote in each girls next chapter, I can’t wait to read it, and continue to be their biggest fan.

Year one I gave it my all. Thank you for believing in me, we learned a lot together. And we should be proud of the noise we made. We have a lot more to give.

As we officially close the book on the 2025-2026 season, I want to say thank you for allowing me the privilege of coaching such an incredible group of girls and families.

To our coaching staff, thank you for the countless hours, practices, games, tournaments, and conversations that helped shape this team into so much more than a softball team. Your dedication, patience, and commitment to these girls never went unnoticed, and I am grateful to have shared this journey alongside you.

To our parents, thank you for the early mornings, late nights, endless travel, and unwavering support. Thank you for trusting us with your daughters and for embracing the vision of building not only softball players, but confident, resilient young athletes and teammates.

A special thank you to Chelsea for everything she poured into this season behind the scenes. From organizing team events and team-building activities to creating an unforgettable end-of-season celebration filled with thoughtful details and special touches, you helped create memories these girls and families will carry long after the final out.

Travel softball may have been what brought our paths together, but somewhere along the way we became much more than a team. We became a family.

As I shared in my letter to our families, wins and losses eventually fade, but the friendships formed, the confidence built, the lessons learned, and the memories made will last far longer than any scoreboard ever could.

Thank you for an unforgettable inaugural season as Ohio Blast Arnio 8U. Coaching this team has been one of the greatest honors of my life.

The countdown is on! In just 1 week, Ohio Blast Organizational Tryouts begin, and we’re excited to welcome the next generation of Blast athletes!

We’re still looking for a few dedicated players to complete our 8U Arnio and 9U Barnes teams for the 2026-2027 season. If you’re looking for a positive, competitive environment where players develop their skills, build confidence, and become part of a true softball family, we’d love to meet you!

Some bonds are bigger than the jersey. ❤️🥎

One of the best parts of All-Star tournaments ? Looking across the fields and finding your Blast teammates and friends, even if you’re wearing different colors, or just coming to cheer your girls on! The friendships built all season don’t take a break, they just get a chance to shine on a bigger stage.

🥎 Private Tryouts Tonight! 🥎

We're excited to welcome everyone to our 8U Arnio and 9U Barnes private tryouts tonight from 6:00–8:00 PM! Columbiana High School field at Firestone park!

With the warm weather, the girls' safety and comfort are our top priority.

We'll have:
💧 Plenty of water and ice available
🌳 Shaded areas to cool off
⏸️ Frequent breaks throughout the evening

We can't wait to meet all of the athletes and families joining us tonight. Thank you for being here, and we look forward to seeing everyone!
