Not your average hike last Saturday.

We started with a sunset…
and finished under the night sky.

Headlamps on.
Red lights glowing.
Moving through the woods in a completely different way than most people ever experience.

But what stood out most wasn’t the views —
it was the group.

People stepping outside their comfort zone
learning, laughing, and realizing they’re capable of more than they thought.

This is what happens when you get out there.
More to come 🌙🔥

This is what building confidence on the trail looks like!

This past weekend at our Women in the Wilderness course, a group of women showed up at all different starting points — all looking to feel more capable and comfortable outside.

And that shift starts to happen fast.

Questions get asked.
Skills get practiced.
Confidence builds.

By the end, it’s not just about what you learned — it’s how you feel out there.

More prepared. More aware. More capable.
That’s what this course is really about!

Thank you to all who came out! Spring is off to an awesome start!

We’re excited to officially be partnering with the Catskill Center this season for a workshop at their visitor center!

This is a place that sits right at the heart of the Catskills — connecting people to the trails, the environment, and the knowledge that makes time outside safer and more enjoyable.

To kick things off, we’ll be hosting a Bear Awareness & Hiking Safety Workshop on May 9th.

All proceeds are being donated to the Catskill Center as well!

If you spend time hiking in the Catskills (or plan to), this is one of those topics that matters more than people think.

We’ll be covering:
✅️ What to do (and what NOT to do) during encounters
✅️ Common mistakes & review case studies with negative animal encounters
✅️ Practical hiking safety skills you can apply right away

This is real-world, essential information anyone spending time outdoors should know.

A lot of women want to spend more time hiking…

They just don’t always feel confident doing it yet.

Not sure what to bring.
Not sure what to do if something goes wrong.
Not sure if they’re “ready.”

That’s exactly why we built this course!

Our Women in the Wilderness course is designed to give you real, practical skills — in a relaxed, supportive environment with other women starting from the same place.

No experience needed.
No pressure.
Just show up and learn as you go.

Last night was one of our biggest Dirt Times yet!

Almost 90 people came out! Great energy, and exactly what TrailBound is all about!

New faces, familiar faces, and a group of people all showing up for the same reason — to spend more time outside and keep building confidence on the trail!

A lot of people show up not knowing anyone but that doesn't take long to change.

This community keeps growing, and it’s been awesome to watch!

If you’ve been thinking about getting out more — this is your sign!

Spring is off to an incredible start!

Over the past couple of weeks, we’ve been out on the trail for both our Hemlock Falls hike and the Secret Sculpture hike — and these are exactly the kinds of days that remind us what TrailBound is all about!

New faces, familiar faces, and a group of people all showing up for the same reason — to spend time outside and keep building confidence on the trail.

Every hike, every conversation, every shared mile… it all adds up.

This community keeps growing, and it’s been awesome to watch!

With courses, guided hikes, and backpacking trips all coming up, this season is shaping up to be something special!

If you’ve been thinking about getting out more — this is your sign!

This is what goes into becoming a TrailBound instructor!

Recently was our Instructor Training Day — focused on building the skills, judgment, and leadership required to guide in real outdoor environments!

Navigation. Risk assessment. Group management. Decision-making in changing conditions. These are the things that matter!

Every course, hike, and trip we run is built on this foundation — so when you’re out there with us, you’re not just following a guide, you’re learning from someone trained to handle the terrain, the group, and the unexpected!

These are the leaders behind our Women’s Chapter!

Amanda & Nancy out in the Adirondack High Peaks this past weekend — navigating wind, snow, and real winter mountain conditions!

This isn’t just hiking. This is preparation, decision-making, and confidence in a serious environment!

And this is exactly what they help other women build!

If you’ve ever felt unsure, underprepared, or just want to feel more confident on the trails ⬇️

❄️ This past trip to the Adirondack High Peaks was something truly special!

Fresh snow, strong winds, icy trails, steep terrain — and plenty of time spent fully goggled up managing layers at the summits. Real winter mountain conditions!

We had 21 TrailBounders out there taking it all in and proving to themselves what they’re capable of in a serious mountain environment!

One of the most meaningful moments for us was seeing 14 hikers earn the first-ever TrailBound Winter Rocker. Over the course of the past winters they took on snowshoe challenges, pushed through winter camping nights, and continued showing up when conditions were tough!

Seeing that level of commitment and progression is exactly what TrailBound is all about!

History was made this weekend — and memories that will last a lifetime!

And as always with the Adirondacks… once you leave, you’re already thinking about the next time you’ll be back.

For those who joined us — what moment from the trip will you remember most?
