I hope you will take a few mins to read it and learn about the surprising benefits of dance! https://www.unitethroughdance.com/post/why-dance-the-surprising-truth-about-how-dance-benefits-your-life

I love dancing! And I love to participate in the joy that it brings to everyone who dances. I am a bit of a nerd and enjoy learning about neuroscience. From what I understand, as humans, listening to music that we like releases a chemical in our brains called dopamine. Dopamine is a chemical that motivates us. When I learned this, I slightly adjusted my teaching style. Instead of asking students to stand up/prepare for the song before playing it, I start playing it and then ask them to begin. I have been surprised by how much more effective this newer way of teaching has been for my students! Here's to learning and growing as teachers/parents/students/people!
