Honored to be selected as a mentee for and ’s initiative. To be in a space that pours into the next generation of leaders and changemakers feels deeply aligned with where I am and where I’m going.

I’ve spent years building, evolving, and leading across fashion, business, and now AI. This moment is a reminder that expansion requires vision, community, and the courage to keep stepping into bigger rooms.

Imposter syndrome is real, and I'm amongst the many women who struggle with it. As a high achiever who hasn't accomplished nearly all my goals yet, it's a challenge for me to stop and bask in the moments of triumph and victory.

So today I'm choosing to celebrate a win. Thank you, and on this wonderful article on and me. This has been a 10-year journey with three pivots and continuous growth at every phase, and we're just getting started.

I started with no knowledge on how to run a business, let alone a modeling agency. I had been in the fashion industry for quite some time before, but as a model. STRUT was born because of what I experienced as a model. I saw a void and went for it. Along the way, I learned and put myself in spaces and places that would help with the advancement. Overall, it's been a lot of grit, grind, and God's favor!

You don't have to know everything or have it all figured out. Belief in self and your dreams are key. Your circle is also crucial. Once you're certain of your purpose and you do the work, things will fall into place. It's definitely not going to happen overnight, but stay the course!

Stepped away from my desk today to attend S/S 23 show today. Had four of my models booked!! They looked incredible. The collection was breathtaking. I want every piece.
Also popped into .nyc. Wonderful presentation. Loved the array of men in skirts!!

WHAT'S MY WHY?

Once upon a time there was a young girl from the Island of Trinidad & Tobago.

She moved to the US at age 14 and kept getting asked ARE YOU A MODEL? Or DO YOU PLAY BASKETBALL?

Being a girly girl, the latter was not an option. So the young girl started doing research on how to become a model?

After years of trying to figure it out on her own, finally at 22 the now woman signed her first modeling contract in NYC.

From 14-22 is 7 years!! All that time I was going about it the wrong way.

So that's my WHY!!! I coach aspiring models and help guide their careers because I wish I had someone in my corner to save me all the time I waisted trying to navigate this industry.

Working with me means that you are getting access to the knowledge and skill set that I have developed over the last 19 years.

All the lessons learned. The trials and error. I impart my wisdom on the next generation so they won't have to take as long to reach their goal as I did!
