A cold, quiet morning in the Green Mountains of Vermont was interrupted by chaos. The voice of the valley lay wounded before the sun had took to the sky. We never met here before and will never meet here again. Hoping the next one fights harder, battles longer, sounds louder. It’s never perfect, but that’s what takes us farther. This morning he hung up at 80 yards forever. But the second he cut me off on a kee kee run, I knew he was locked in.

He stepped out with three hens… and I dumped him at 30.”
