🚨 BREAKING: Former All-Pro CB Jaire Alexander opens up on his sudden NFL retirement in an emotional new piece for The Players’ Tribune.

In an article titled "The Full Story Behind Why I Stepped Away from the NFL," Alexander reveals the heartbreaking reality behind his decision to walk away from football just after being traded from Baltimore to Philadelphia at the 2025 deadline.

Scheduled to make his Eagles debut on Monday Night Football against his former team, the Green Bay Packers, Alexander describes a night of "crippling anxiety" in his hotel room. Battling a lingering knee injury and the overwhelming pressure of returning to Green Bay, he couldn't stop the negative thoughts. At 3:00 AM, he texted the Eagles organization: “I’m sorry, but I don’t think I’m going to do this. I can’t keep playing like this.”

The next morning, an emotional Alexander went to the Eagles' facility to deliver the news in person to DB coach Christian Parker, crying as he told his former Green Bay mentor: “My head’s messed up right now... I don’t know what to do anymore.”

Mental health is just as important as physical health. Sending nothing but respect to Jaire for prioritising his well-being. 🙏❤️

🚨 REBUILDING DREW ALLAR 🚨
The Pittsburgh Steelers are officially hitting the reset button on Drew Allar.

According to ESPN's Brooke Pryor, the Steelers are essentially "uninstalling" everything the rookie learned at Penn State to "re-upload" their own strict fundamentals and mechanics.

Head coach Mike McCarthy—famed for his QB development track record—is personally overseeing the overhaul. The main targets? Fixing Allar’s footwork and accuracy, the two biggest flaws that plagued his college career.

To fast-track the process, McCarthy intentionally kept Allar as the only quarterback at rookie minicamp to maximize his reps. They even slowed down drills to walking speed to force a focus on perfect technique.

The 22-year-old third-round pick is fully on board, admitting he has to be much more conscious of his mechanics moving forward. Pittsburgh drafted Allar for his massive upside, but they are making it clear: he won’t see the field until the old habits are completely gone.

Le’Veon Moss, once a promising Texas A&M running back, stunned the football world by retiring just four days after signing with the Miami Dolphins as an undrafted free agent. Moss had an impressive college career, rushing for 1,767 yards and scoring 22 touchdowns across 32 games. However, his journey was marred by devastating injuries, including a torn ACL and MCL in 2024 and a serious ankle injury in 2025 against Florida. These setbacks raised questions about his long-term durability.

The Dolphins, currently in rebuild mode, offered Moss a chance to compete for the No. 2 running back spot behind fellow Aggie De’Vone Achane. But Moss chose to step away, leaving fans and analysts debating his motives. While injuries clearly played a role, many point to the rise of NIL (Name, Image, Likeness) deals in college football. These deals allow players to earn significant money while still in school, reducing the financial pressure to pursue an NFL career at all costs.

Reports suggest Moss may have to return most or all of his $258,000 guaranteed contract money to the Dolphins. Still, his decision reflects a broader trend: college athletes now have more freedom to prioritize health and stability over chasing risky professional opportunities. Moss’s abrupt retirement is a reminder of how quickly careers can change and how NIL has reshaped the football landscape.
