I had a good time the last few days teaching Shari more about float fishing/the centerpin. Last year with me was her first time trying it and fishing the river. This year the weather was brutal(cold, wind, snow) and fishing tougher. Day 1 she hooked a LOT of fish but they wear finding every way possible to get off so we just landed a few, Day 2 she hooked a couple and got a nice one, and day 3 was the coldest even without the extreme wind of the day before. We skunked but only fished 7am to around 11-11:30am because after cleaning ice of the line/warming our hands every few drifts she unfortunately fell in partially at 8:45am(i caught her and pulled her up) and just got her arm partially wet/tiny bit elsewhere. She said she had a great time as I did, learned a lot, and booked a month earlier next year ha ha.

Some fish we landed this week mostly in the big water of the salmon river 2,300-2,450 CFS, more with runoff mid to low on the river where we were. We landed some quality fish, some small but pretty ones and got our behinds handed to us multiple times by big fish that didn't want to stop running in the upper water columns flow of the river and sometimes you can only chase them so far. 1 fish we caught on public water in the picture you will see it is unfortunately bleeding from cutting itself badly on the line when it rolled so we wear forced to keep it but I didn't let the meat or eggs go to waste. As a guide the big water adds to the challenge/excitement of chasing these beautiful and magnificent creatures! Im going on vacation for a few days then I guide the day after Thanksgiving, im pretty booked up the first half of December but have a few openings then and more in later December through April so if anyone wants to learn how to ethically catch these great fish on a great river call or message 315-236-8610 👍 🐟

I had a good time with Mike 11/12! The fish wanted to "run for days". We landed some and lost some with Mike even Falling and cutting his finger while doing battle with the second fish he landed but a river walker was there to help bandage him up. The last fish im holding for the pic because it was a team effort to land, I had to cross to go land it because we felt it wasn't safe for Mike to, any higher of water or tougher of a crossing spot and we would have had to brake it off but it was his first one and the nicest one of the day so I got it for him.

Carter and Jordan Joined me at the DSR November 8th. Things could have been tough for their first taste at steelhead fishing with the changing conditions on this dark, windy, and somewhat stormy day but they fished hard, did well, and we had a great time!

I had a good time with Don and Mat a week and a half ago. Last year Mat couldn't get them to "stick"(besides late in the day) but this year he started quick with a very large Male steelhead and picked away at them til we left mid day. Don got a few and enjoyed the river like usual. Here is Most of the fish we were able to land.

I had a good time with Sebastian and Steven on 10/30 and 11/1. They had to work for there fish in changing conditions(leaves, first/second days of water going up/getting dirtier, and temps dropping) but they got some nice fish!

I had a good time with the Bishops(Ted - Father and sons - Shawn/Tyler) on 10/27 like I always do. Fishing was good like it usually is and we enjoyed each other's company.
