We’re still celebrating the mothers, teachers and caregivers who inspire creativity through movement, music, and expression. Thank you for the love, support, and encouragement you give children each and every day.

In honor of Women’s History Month, we celebrate the women who have inspired creativity, confidence, and joy in every classroom.

Our founder, Elizabeth Pettit, was one such visionary who believed deeply in the power of dance and the arts to enrich children’s learning.

Her legacy continues to inspire our work today. ✨

Cold weather, warm hearts, and moving bodies.
From the classroom to the ice, our students explore balance, confidence, and joy through movement—even in winter. ❄️⛸️

This week, we’re dancing to Johann Strauss’ Blue Danube Waltz, learning the feel of a 3/4 time signature—ONE-two-three, DOWN-up-up—and discovering how rhythm helps movement glide.

Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. believed in the power of young people to change the world. At Education in Dance, we see that potential every day—when students move, create, and learn through the arts. Today, we honor his legacy by continuing to invest in education, equity, and creative expression.

Spring is a season of transformation and growth — let’s move our bodies and engage our minds!

Just like a caterpillar becoming a butterfly, children thrive when given the freedom to move, play, and express themselves.

Here are a few ways:
✨ Crawl like a curious caterpillar
✨ Spin like a cozy cocoon
✨ Soar like a butterfly in bloom

Happy International Dance Day! Today is all about celebrating movement, rhythm, and the joy of dance. Whether you're twirling like a blossoming flower, wiggling like a caterpillar, or leaping high in celebration of spring, every step is a tribute to the beauty of expression.
