✝️ Be Reconciled to God

2 Corinthians 5:20

🔹 BE

👉 A command, not a suggestion
👉 Stop waiting — respond now
👉 Step into what’s already been offered

“Don’t stall. Don’t think about it tomorrow. Be.”

🔹 RECONCILED

👉 Means the relationship is restored, made right
👉 Sin broke the connection — Jesus fixed it
👉 You’re not just forgiven — you’re brought back
👉 It’s deeper than peace — it’s belonging again

“God’s saying: Let’s not be strangers anymore.”

🔹 TO GOD

👉 Not just peace in life — peace with the One who gave you life
👉 The God who knows you, still wants you
👉 It’s not religion — it’s relationship
👉 You’re not coming to a system — you’re coming home

“The God you’re being reconciled to… is your Father.”

🗝️ So what’s Paul really saying?

“Don’t waste another minute.
God already did His part — Jesus died for you.
Now all that’s left is your response.”

➡️ Be.
➡️ Be reconciled.
➡️ Be reconciled to God

“Return to Me, and I will return to you,” says the Lord Almighty. – Malachi 3:7 (NIV).

In Malachi 3:7, God is speaking to the people of Israel through the prophet Malachi during a time when they had drifted away from Him—spiritually, morally, and in their worship practices.

Here’s the context of what was going on:

• Time period: Likely around 450–430 BC, after the Israelites had returned from Babylonian exile and rebuilt the temple. The excitement of returning had faded, and their devotion to God had grown cold.

• Spiritual condition: The people were going through the motions of worship but with corrupt hearts—offering blemished sacrifices, withholding tithes, and treating God’s covenant lightly.

• God’s charge: He tells them, “Ever since the time of your ancestors you have turned away from my decrees and have not kept them.” This is a rebuke that their disobedience isn’t new—it’s been a pattern for generations.

• God’s invitation: Despite their repeated failures, He offers grace: “Return to me, and I will return to you.” This is a covenant promise—if they repent and turn back, He will restore His presence, blessing, and favor.

• The people’s response: Instead of humbling themselves, they question Him, asking, “How are we to return?”—revealing their spiritual blindness to their own sin.

In short, Malachi 3:7 shows God calling His people back into a genuine relationship with Him, promising that reconciliation is possible if they turn from their disobedience and renew their commitment.

Don't ever give up!

07/30/2017

I started this page to encourage, but sometimes I'm the one that needs encouragement. You know life takes you through challenges and sometime you (feel) have to walk alone... or so you think? God has been walking with you the whole time. It's comes down to one question. "Where are you focusing most of all your time? Troubles will always be there... pain will help you grow, but having to do it alone is out of the question...

Think about that for a while... Good Day and Happy Sunday.

"Am I trying to do it all on my own?"

Plans fail for lack of counsel, but with many advisors they succeed. (Proverbs 15:22)

It's our heart that often fails us.

There'll always be a question in our hearts and minds if we are leaning on our own understanding.

It is totally different when we rely wholly upon the wisdom of God and can clearly and unashamedly declare, "I am NOT a self-made man. I lean on the Lord. It is clearly God who has gotten me this far. Without him, I would be lost trying to live life on my own."

Proverbs 3:5-6
