Dance with Miss Rachel

Part of our yearly recital prep is something called Show & Shares. At all DWMR studios from now until the big shows, dancers travel to different classrooms and perform their recital routine for their fellow dancers. This gives our dancers confidence performing in new spaces, in front of new faces, and of course is a whole lot of fun! Today our TRI Junior + Senior Broadway Cos and our UWS Broadway Co took the stage for their year-end musicals. These Companies, which meet just once per week, perform full-length musicals every spring in a theater packed with family and friends. We say this every year but it’s the truth - each year gets better and better. This year’s musicals were… truly wonderful. The talent, the smiles, the camaraderie, the joy on stage for these two shows is hard to put into words. Miss Bridget, Miss Brianne, Mr Alex, Mr Michael and I could not be more proud. BRAVO to the DWMR TRI + UWS Broadway Companies.

Who runs the world? Moms. Who runs DWMR? These three moms. Today and every day we celebrate the moms who keep DWMR running - Miss Rachel, Miss Kimberly + Miss Lisa. Answering emails, organizing classes, planning recitals, teaching classes, managing the day to day, caring for each and every child that comes through our doors - all while being mamas to their own little ones. Happy Mother’s Day to them, and to all the DWMR dance moms out there. You make this all possible 💜

What. A. Week. Priority enrollment for fall classes opened, recital practices continue, Alice in Wonderland rehearsals are in full swing, plus dancing, dancing and more dancing! A week *packed* with all of our favorite things! 💜

Today is the 13th anniversary of the very first DWMR Recital. May 5, 2013. A lot (!) has changed since then, but one thing remains the same - recital days are the sweetest, most inspiring, sometimes nerve wracking but always incredible, BEST days of the year. We’re looking forward to this season being the best one yet. DWMR in Wonderland, Recital #14, it’s almost time! 💜

Check out our Fall schedules and choose your class while you can! All of the DWMR favorites are back, along with some exciting new offerings for dancers age 3 months+. 🌸🩰We had the most wonderful week of Spring Break Camp! Our Tribeca and UWS studios were filled with dancing, crafting, and lots of spring time fun. We look forward to welcoming all of our dancers back to class next week!🌸🩰
