20,000 Scoopers Later

This is Archer Belson in 2017, our very first scooper.

Back then, the idea was simple: create an experience where kids could feel joy, build confidence, and fall in love with movement, play, and lacrosse in a way that felt positive from the very beginning.

More than 20,000 scoopers later, that same belief still drives everything we do.

A lot has grown since that first class. We have learned a ton, improved a ton, and gotten better along the way, better coaches, better curriculum, better systems, and a deeper understanding of what young kids truly need to thrive.

But at the center of it all, nothing has changed.

We still believe every child deserves to feel encouraged.
We still believe confidence can be built through small wins.
We still believe smiles matter.

Scoops has never been just about lacrosse. It is about creating an environment where kids feel safe, energized, included, and proud of themselves.

As we begin our ninth spring season, we feel incredibly grateful for every family that has trusted us, every child who has joined us, and every community that has welcomed Scoops in.

We are proud to partner with and and many other amazing organizations, with more ahead, but the mission remains the same: build confidence and deliver joy, one child at a time.

20,000 scoopers later, we are still just getting started.

If Scoops has been part of your child’s experience, we would truly love to hear about it. Please share below what the journey has meant to your family.

Grateful always,
Coach Bels

Town lacrosse is everything. It’s where the game begins.

As we get ready for spring, that’s what’s on our minds. Town programs are the backbone of this sport. Where kids fall in love with the game, where friendships get made, where coaches show up every Saturday morning just because they care. Get the foundation right and everything else follows.

That’s exactly why Scoops was built the way it was. We don’t come into towns that already have strong youth lacrosse programs. We support them.

And our partnership with Hingham Youth Lacrosse is one of our greatest examples of what that looks like. Seven years running Little Laxers together, and Hingham is absolutely thriving. Four straight years of 150+ U9 players. Four full 3rd grade teams, 70 kids. That’s not luck. That’s a culture.

Pat Maddigan, President of Hingham Youth Lacrosse: “The co-ed format, the music, the positivity. It’s fun, it’s fast, and it’s exactly what youth lacrosse should be. Scoops has played a huge role in helping us grow.”

To the whole Hingham crew and every Little Laxer who’s ever stepped on that field, here’s to another great spring. 💛

No Scoops for Snoops.
Blizzard said hard no. Whiteout, wind howling, visibility gone.
We’ll be back scooping soon. Until then, stay warm and leave ’em smiling. 🥍
