become second nature to her. While attending Ditmas Junior High school, Becky was able to see her choreography through a large mirror and many eyes. Nathifa (Becky) Cox has been a part of local and community dance groups, schools, and programs such as Shorty’s Out of Control, Young Dance Makers Company, DanceWave Inc. and many others including her very own groups. Choreography became natural to her and once given the platform to connect to her talent she achieved a scholarship for California Institute of the Arts. She recalls her dance teacher, Ms. Simpson at Erasmus Hall/Humanities High School persistently pushing her. Nathifa was introduced to dance history, introduction to Ballet and Modern Techniques: entitled Martha Graham. Simpson also showed a variety of videos, and gave weekly quizzes while introducing tons of bad-mannered little girls to Flaminco dance, and because of that Nathifa will take those experiences with her forever.
