Englewood Jr Track & Field Team Englewood Jr. Track and Field Team was founded in 1985 by Harold Ware and has been a stable for youth of Englewood ever since.
The team is made up of athletes ages 7-16 that can compete in all track events the 100m dash to the 3000m run. They also are trained in the race walk, hurdles, long and triple jump, plus all throwing events. In 2000 the team was taking over by myself Cherie Ware-Powell due to the failing health of my dad. I recruited my close friends Eugenia Walker-Robinson, Alana Alleyne and Jerome C Anderson to

This was such a beautiful moment—our 9 & 10 year old girls coming together in prayer before the 4by400m race ✨
They ran with faith, heart, and confidence… and brought home 2nd place!! So proud of them 🏃🏽♀️
