As the high school basketball season comes to an end and players gear up for AAU (travel) basketball I felt obligated to reissue our blog from 2015. This blog centered around quotes from (at the time) NBA players (Kobe Bryant & Lebron James) and NBA veterans (Robert Horry, Steve Kerr and Charles Barkley). Where each speak on their “issue” with AAU (youth) basketball .
Please feel free to check out the full blog post (link in bio) and if you are reading this for the first time- thank you and, as always, choose wisely. If you are re-reading our 8 year blog- thank you and we would appreciate your thoughts on the topic.

Our staff traveled back to to Manila, PH to continue to work with Marcus Douthit of as he, along with his teammates, prepared for the 2013 FIBA Asia Championship, which at the time, was a qualifying tournament for the 2014 FIBA World Cup in Spain (FWC).
The “Gilas Crew” appearing in their first FIBA Asia Championship final since its inception in 1987 • eventually earning the silver medal which automatically qualified them for the FWC tournament in 2014. Throughout the tournament Marcus anchored the Filipino defense by averaging 2blocks (1st), 9rebounds (tied for 2nd) and also chipped in double figure points.
