I’m turning 50 on October 8, and to celebrate, I’m going to run 50 miles for Quinn. You’re probably not wondering why: You’ve met me. You’re thinking this is about the masochism. But it’s not! Or at least not just about the masochism. More important is that I’m doing it to raise awareness about celiac disease, the condition Quinn, our daughter, was diagnosed with at the age of 7 in late 2022.
Celiac is a chronic autoimmune disorder in which consuming gluten — a protein found in wheat, rye, and other grains — triggers a severe and immediate response from the body. The immune system attacks the cells lining the small intestine, preventing proper nutrient absorption. It’s not fun.
If you’d like to help me celebrate in ways that don’t involve joining me for a ridiculously long training run, I’ve started a Gofundme fundraiser on Quinn’s behalf, to help cover her future medical and educational needs, and if you’d be interested in giving a little, it would mean an awful lot to me (click the link in my bio). But either way, thanks so much for reading all the way to the end of this. I’ll see you at the finish line in the fall.

Quinn and the Lost Unicorn
Quinn had always been inseparable from her stuffed unicorn, Unicorn. From the time she was three, Unicorn had been her confidant, her friend, her source of comfort. Whether it was playing in the playground or visiting far-off places, or visits to the doctor, Unicorn was always by her side. So, when Quinn and her mom set off for a fun event in the city around West 14th Street, they never imagined what would happen next.
After the event, Quinn started feeling a bit chilly, so her mom suggested they pop into the nearby Forever 21, just steps from Penn Station, to pick out a sweater. It was a simple stop, one that Quinn didn’t think twice about. But when they left the store and were waiting for the train home, Quinn’s heart sank.
Her precious Unicorn was gone.
They had no idea when or where it had happened—was Unicorn left in the store? Did she fall somewhere on the way to the station? But there was no time to waste. Quinn was devastated, and her mom quickly took charge. She retraced their steps, from the store to the train platform, asking everyone she could, but Unicorn was nowhere to be found.
By the time they returned home, Quinn was heartbroken. Unicorn had always been there for her, and the thought of losing her felt like losing a part of herself. But her mom, ever the optimist, refused to let the story end there.
“Don’t give up hope, Quinn,” she said. “We’re going to find Unicorn. I promise you.”
The next morning, Quinn’s dad sprang into action. He called Forever 21, hoping someone there might have seen the unicorn. The employee who answered the phone was deeply moved by the story. Wanting to help, he said, “I’ll see what I can do to make sure Unicorn comes home.” Read More in Comments

Dust of Snow” by Robert Frost reminds us about the significance of seemingly insignificant natural events, and how nature can help heal with reframing our negative human emotions. The crow, which usually signifies the harbinger of doom and gloom, becomes the catalyst for positive change this time around…
Was this an act of mischief, or a reminder that even at a low point, the smallest things can 💡 up the dark, and steer you towards a positive path?

So proud of for his amazing transformation into the legendary Ric Flair for the new film ! 8 weeks of solid work 💪🏻💪🏻 You absolutely nailed it! Well done!
2 month transformation for Ric Flair. Shoutout to for the workout plan & .co for the nutritional plan, & the countless friends & colleagues who gave me pointers along the way, & kept me from succumbing to the inevitable body dysmorphia that accompanies such fast, drastic changes. Here’s a before & after look at the process.
