Congrats to our guy on making the jump from Purple Demons to the Chinese Basketball Development League (CBDL)!

The progress KZ has made has been huge—not just for himself, but for the Demons as well. From Year 1 not seeing much opportunity to now Year 3, making the jump to CBDL. He’s been one of the most hardworking and dedicated players in our program, and the growth he’s shown speaks for itself.

At Purple Demons, player development is the foundation of everything we do. We focus on helping players sharpen their game, elevate their mindset, and truly prepare for the next level. KZ put in the work every day, and we made sure he was ready when that opportunity came.

We’re building a community where players can enjoy the college experience, while also creating real pathways for those who are serious about basketball and want to take that next step.

😈 Captain Steve 😈

Steve has been with the Purple Demons for two years. Over this time, he has grown from a kid into a mature leader on the court. With incredible talent, Steve started as a freshman and immediately made a significant impact on the team’s success.

At 6’6” as a guard, Steve can shoot, guard multiple positions, and has been steadily improving his basketball IQ to get his teammates involved. Over the past two years, Steve’s achievements include:
🎯 2x NECBL National Final Four
🏆 2x NECBL Regional Champion
🏆 1x Purple Demons Cup Champion
🏆 1x CSBA Regional Champion
🥈 1x NNIT Runner-Up

Steve’s growth over these two years has been inevitable, and he is now ready to take on the new challenge of leading the program to new heights as captain.

😈 Captain Chenhao 😈

Heading into his senior year, Chenhao enters his 4th season with the Purple Demons as team captain. Over the past 3 years, Chenhao grew from an underclassman patiently working behind arguably one of the best classes of players in team history to becoming a cornerstone of the team.

He earned his shot last season, starting all 50 games across multiple leagues, and proved what it means to be a true Purple Demon. After waiting two years with almost no opportunity, he never complained and remained committed to the team’s success, taking full advantage of his turn and becoming a key contributor during the 2024–25 Purple Demons National Runner-Up run.

Over the course of 3 years, Chenhao’s achievements include:
