Remember The Met Ball Last Month? | Well no surprise - horses were somehow involved. The Metropolitan Museum’s current Costume Institute exhibit “SuperFine: Tailoring Black Style” features a piece on Black Jockeys and their very successful place in racing history. Apparently, horse racing was the first truly national American sport and one of the first that allowed Black men to compete. Cool info.
