Estonian documentary “Smoke Sauna Sisterhood” to premiere at the Sundance Film Festival “Smoke Sauna Sisterhood”, a feature documentary by Estonian film director Anna Hints, has been selected to premiere at the Sundance Film Festival 2023; the film focuses on women who come together in the protective darkness of the smoke sauna, an important part of the Estonian cultural heritage.

In November 1958, a feature film was premiered in the United States with a cast of Estonian-Americans, an Estonian language script, but with the story set entirely in American suburbia.
