A famous Yankee once said “ it ain’t over till it’s over “ Jazz and Volpe lead the Yanks in stirring comeback victory
And Tampa lost ( on another walkoff , so that’s over and it’s just a matter of time before the Yanks pass them in the standings .

529 plan or travel ball ? In the next issue of Bleachervibe we parody : travel Ball
We predict the Yanks to go at least 8-2 or 9-1 in next ten
The turn around has begun. , a half hour ago we asked would that heads up throw by Cody start the turn around , the captain answered that question
Kids learn from this play ! Have field awareness , the runner must score , stay at second or go halfway
Also, Three things about this play , great call by the announcer ( Michael Kay was off today and he just may have been Wally Pipped ). And why wasn’t this obstruction, if the play we showed last week was obstruction why wasn’t this . And is this the play that is going to turn the Yankee season around

Talking Heads.
That’s what sports television used to call these studio shows. A bunch of personalities sitting around a desk arguing, laughing, reacting and making you feel like the tournament mattered.
That’s why I’ve loved TNT’s coverage of the French Open.
Not because it’s perfect.
Because it has ENERGY.
You can feel that TNT is new to the game and has something to prove. The coverage feels alive. The hosts actually look like they’re enjoying being there. They debate, joke around, react to moments, tell stories and make the entire tournament feel like an EVENT instead of just “here’s another match.”
That’s what the best sports coverage does.
It gives the tournament a pulse.
The set itself helps too — outdoors, people walking behind them, sunshine, movement, noise. It feels connected to the atmosphere of the event instead of trapped in a dark studio somewhere.
And honestly, personality matters.
Too much modern sports coverage feels robotic. Everyone says the same thing in the same tone. TNT brought back something sports TV used to have: chemistry.
It reminds me a little of the old “Talking Heads” era of sports television where the people covering the game became part of the experience.
As someone who watches coverage closely because of Bleachervibe, I’d love to see more networks understand this:
People don’t just watch games.
They watch presentation.
They watch atmosphere.
They watch personalities.
TNT understood the assignment.

Matchups Matter
Last year’s LLWS championship game ratings were never publicly celebrated the way the year before was. That tells you plenty.
It wasn’t hard to see coming. Before the tournament, Bleachervibe tracked which teams were actually moving the needle on our page. IRMO was No. 1 by a mile — one clinching post drew around 400,000 views. Texas was next. Las Vegas, the team that wound up in the championship game, barely registered by comparison.
That’s not a knock on the kids. It’s reality. Some teams bring a town, a region, sometimes an entire state with them. Florida did that in 2024, and the championship averaged 3.535 million viewers, the best since 2015.
But a lopsided Taiwan-Nevada final, with Taiwan winning 7-0, never had the same pull.
The lesson for Little League and ESPN is simple:
Matchups matter. Followings matter. Storylines matter.
And one day before the tournament, our page numbers already told the story.
