Another great show. Sold out by 8:15

I only had 2 weeks to build for this show. I had about 50 lures done, which is a record for me. It isn't getting easier.

Surf Day was excellent, always a great show.
Asbury is coming up this Sunday. Hopefully there won't be any snow this time. I only had two weeks to build. I put in alot of hours and it looks like I'll be bringing about 45 lures. Clearcoating today.
See you there.
Filling the lures with epoxy. The messy pain in the ass part of my SeaSlider and Skinny Minnie building process.
Can you tell it's lure building season?
Hello everyone,
It’s only been 307 days since my last post.
Just letting everyone know that I’ll be attending this years Surf Day and Asbury Fishing Club shows once again this year.
I’ll have SeaSliders in 5”, 6”, 7” and 8” versions as well as small and large Skinny.
Sales will be limited to one lure per person.
Too many customers went home empty handed from my booth last year.
Thanking you in advance for your support and understanding.

SeaSlider Science
You've heard one expert or another say that this science is settled or that science is settled.
Most of us know that science never settled. SeaSlider science, lol, is never settled as well. I've been building these lures for many years and every year I'm discovering new things and incorporate them into the build. Sometimes I've been wrong. But over the past couple of years I've discovered several things dealing with balance, weight placement, hook holder location, sink rate, thickness, body angle, specific gravity of wood types that challenged my understanding of sea sliders. I've played with it all. So many combinations. The change of an eighth of an inch in a weight placement can make the difference between a good lure a great lure. I'm happy to say that the SeaSliders that I've made this year for Surf Day and Asbury are among the best that I've ever built. Future lures will come with a siwash on the tail. I prefer two barbless trebles, but it seems most people prefer the siwash.
Of course everything I've discovered will be put into all my future sea sliders. I've noticed Improvement in the lures action, versatility and reliability , I'm hoping you do as well.
I wish I could build more lures, to get my lures in the hands of more Anglers.
Sold out again.
Thank you for your support.
Great show.
Alot of people walked away disappointed. I'm thinking of putting a limit on the # of lures one can purchase at the shows. In order to disappoint fewer angler's.
I started developing the SeaSlider about 2002. I started selling them I believe at Asbury 2006. So it's only taken 17 years for glider style lures to catch on. Lol. Attached is a photo of the early lure development progression. Starting with a flat sided lipped swimmer. That quickly developed to a lipless swimmer.

Here's a couple for the show.
I'll try to post a few more later.

Phew.....
90ish baits ready for paint. I tried to make it 100.
100 lures normally took me 8 weeks in the past.
I'll finish these up in 5...
8 to 14 hours a day during the week and whatever I could do on the weekends.. I'm literally too old for this s**t.
72 now. I wish I could clear coat them all white. It would save me a couple of days painting. 😁
Question
What's your favorite subsurface lure/plug color?
Wow, just left Wawa where I saw Glide bait articles in the latest On the Water and Fisherman magazines. Good articles, but I didn't even get an honorable mention. 😭

See you at Asbury
Quick Poll 😁
One question
What size SeaSlider is your go to size?
5 inch 2 oz
6 inch 2 1/2 oz
7 inch 3 1/2 oz
8 inch 4 3/4oz
Or other?
If so what would you like to see?
If you're curious about the Skinny Minnie's there is a video.
But you have to go all the way back to the first post.
I'll have some 2oz and 3oz ready for The Asbury show. Facebook isn't letting me bring the video forward to the recent posting area. I believe because it's too old..
The Surf Day show was great .
I sold out in 15 minutes.
Thank you to everyone for the support.
I’ll be at the Asbury Fishing show next Month.
Judging by the last couple of shows if you want a SeaSlider
it would be a good idea you got on line early.

Hello everyone,
Next weekend I’ll be at the Surf Day show.
I’ll have some 5,7,& 8inch SeaSliders as well as some 2oz. Skinny Minnie’s.
The following month I’ll be at the Asbury Show.
I’m going to see if I can get 5,6,7 inch SeaSliders as well as 2oz. & 3oz. Skinny Minnie’s done for that show.
This is a new type of foil that I experiented with on this SeaSlider. It took 3 tries to make it look okay. 3oz 6.5 inch.
The fish liked it. Took it out a few sundowns ago. First time using it I Hooked up on the first cast. Had to leave a hour later. 6 hooked 2 landed all less than 10 lbs I'm sure. 8lb was the largest of the 2. Still fun no matter the size.

Note: Just shipped something Priority Mail and sticker shock 😤. I was charged over 2 dollars more than the last time. So unfortunately I need to pass this on for future sales. I also had to up the price of my lures a bit.
I’m sorry about that. Things are getting a bit nuts little by little.
Sold out !
Thank you to all my fantastic customers and to the Asbury Park Fishing Club for a great show
Me with this year's raffle winner Tony. 👍😁👍
8 inch 5 oz SeaSliders big girl baits
Sorry, I had hoped to have about 70 lures for the show. Currently it looks like there will be 57 lures. I'll try to get a few more done. It's mostly 2oz Skinny Minnie's that will be missing. If I can't get them finished in time I'll sell them here on Facebook.
