It ain’t rocket science! ⚽️🚀

I’ve spent nearly two decades preaching the same message. Inspiration, education, freedom to express yourself. Play in mixed age groups, mixed abilities, the game itself is the greatest teacher. ⚽️📈

To become a great problem solver you first need problems.

To become skilled at conflict resolution you need conflict.

All players are born creative until it is coached out of them.

Watch the game, learn from home, go out and play with your friends. 💙⚽️

If you want your child to become a confident, creative soccer player, here’s what actually works:

1️⃣ Study the GOATs Watch the great players. Games, highlights, YouTube.

2️⃣ Learn at home, the right way If you’re not a soccer expert, use a program that teaches why and when skills are used - not gimmicks (this is exactly how we built GOAT Skillz).

3️⃣ Create pressure-free play Streets. Backyard. Living room. Playground. Confidence grows where fear disappears.

4️⃣ Game before position Let kids express themselves in small-sided games before locking them into positions.

5️⃣ Reinforce everything positively Mistakes are part of growth. Failing a skill is progress. Negative feedback too early is a fast track to burnout.

6️⃣ Too much water kills the flower Sideline instructions steal confidence. Let them make decisions. That’s how playmakers are built.

Great players aren’t coached into creativity - they’re protected while it develops.

I am blown away by GOAT Skillz 🥹❤️

I can’t tell you how proud I am of creating the GOAT Skillz course. It’s better than I thought it would be, honestly.

Seeing my own kids at home use a product I created in the GSS studio, having them reap the benefits whilst having a ton of fun brings so much joy to me.

I’ve spent decades studying skill development and techniques and how they are transferred to young players - this very depth of knowledge led me to work with some of the greatest players of all time (Messi🇦🇷 Suarez🇺🇾Pulisic🇺🇸etc etc)

Bottom line, if your kid’s not enjoying it, it’s not worth doing. When a child is having fun, their engagement level increases and everything is easier for them to absorb.

Educating players on the world’s GOATs 🐐 and their in-game characteristics, opens their minds to adopt skills they feel are suitable to their own game and unique body types. This process allows them to become the best version of themselves.

Drilling them is killing them and long term you end up with a player with strong but limited skills, a closed mind, and all of the uniqueness coached out of them.

Whilst nothing will ever replace the greatest teacher - the beautiful game itself - education can go along way, especially if the budding player does not have a soccer role model to emulate or mirror in the home.

This is just a small clip from one of the Versus Mode Skill Challenges at the end of each session. So fun and engaging! 😊
