A throwback to our first ever issue of City Purls, formally called "Knitting Knews", from January 1992. The Guild was hosting our first retreat with Mary Walker Phillips, Nora Ellman, and Susan Wallace as guest instructors.

Modern Daily Knitting Has a fantastic article on Mary that can be found here: https://www.moderndailyknitting.com/community/jazz-hands-mary-walker-phillips/

I also appreciate how editor Laura informed members that the towels on the retreat "are rather skimpy, so you may want to bring one from home." 🤣
