The RCTA lost three outstanding leaders this past week. All exceptional and very influential individuals. Harry Homa, one of the founders who created the RCTA in 1984 to save the clay courts - and early president; Melanie Bean, a president who oversaw a significant expansion and growth of the RCTA in terms of staffing and programming; and Helene Rabinovitz, a long-time board member, advisor to many and friend to more.
RIP to all three: Harry, Helene & Melanie.

Wow. Super generous of Cathy & Ken G., who were among the founders of RCTA back in the late '80s. In fact, Cathy served as RCTA's 4th president in the earl 90s. Still an influential power tennis couple.

Announcing the establishment of The Junior Tennis Foundation’s CATHY & KEN GREENWALD FUND.

A donor-supported fund established for the purpose of providing opportunities for junior players in New York City whose family would not otherwise be able to afford top tennis programs.

Please go to juniortennisfoundation.org/greenwald-fund to read more and make a contribution.

Stay tuned to learn about our first recipient athlete and program.
