Satchidananda—existence, knowledge and bliss—is the nature of the true Self, and it is this truth that underlies all manifestation. Through our karmas, by how we treat others as well as ourselves, we can cause that truth to be obscured. The yoga practices aim at purifying our perception of ourselves, others and ultimately God, by purifying the bodies that cover the Self, so that we will be able to see through the illusion of separateness. What separates our physical body from our spiritual essence is illusionary. The truth is that our spiritual self is more real than our physical self.”
“Often people mistake physical existence for reality and refer to the spiritual as unreal. Actually that is upside-down thinking. The spiritual reality is real and eternal, whereas physical reality is unreal and temporary.”
“Every action that we take leaves an impression on our bodies... when our actions come from a place of love and true other-centeredness, our physical bodies become lighter and more transparent, and awareness of our true nature shines through and illuminates all of our bodies...”
The above is excerpted from the Writings of Sharon Gannon.

“The body is your temple. Keep it pure and clean for the soul to reside in.” - B.K.S Iyengar ॐ 🙏🧘🏽♂️

This is the one body we are given during our lifetime.Treat it like the temple it is, our soul’s vehicle. We must carefully and consciously curate what goes in and is around our bodies. That means everything: the things we ingest, the places we go, the things we say/do and the people around us. If it leads to a toxic effect, then we must rid ourselves of it. That toxicity will lead to Dis-Ease, the dis-Ease will eat away at our body and soul. So purify your life before it’s too late. Aid your soul and lift yourself out of the dumps. Come up!

We all know our humanity too well.
That is why we put the focus on recognizing the part of us that isn’t stuck in the human-ness. Not to deny our humanity, but rather to bring it into balance through a compassionate heart.
That’s what you offer another person.
When I look at some of you, I know you have problems with addiction and sexual obsessions, problems with loneliness and problems with anger, diseases and frigidity. I see the whole sea of stuff and you tell me about it, and I see curriculum after curriculum.
I see a group of beautiful souls on earth, each having its own karmic work to do.
At the same moment when I see this stuff, my heart hurts. But you don’t protect your heart from breaking, because a broken heart is like cracking a shell to let the deeper heart come forth...

NEW TEACHING: How can your intellect serve or hinder you?
•
“For me, the fun is meeting people through all the roles we meet in and playing each one as impeccably as I can without getting trapped in any of them, so that my consciousness is always an environment that’s open to meeting somebody behind the game.
•
At the same time, there’s nothing in me that says, ‘This game is bad and shouldn’t be played,’ or anything like that, cause it’s a beautiful game.”
