It is with a heavy heart that we share the passing of Joseph Maroney yesterday, April 6, 2026. He was just 18 years old.

After 10 healthy years, at 18 years old, Joseph was diagnosed with secondary cancers, finding aggressive tumors in his abdomen. The oldest of 10 children, he fought tirelessly for his life.

In April 2016, at the annual hot dog party, Joseph was awarded the Sacred Heart comeback player of the year as a player on the Sub Novice basketball team after a courageous battle with leukemia after undergoing a bone marrow transplant as a 7 year old.
