We can never repay you for the extreme hardships you had to endure during your horrendous journey across the Kaala Paani. Sahebs, (British owners), tried their very best to beat your rich, ancient culture, dharma and traditions out of you but you withstood, brave and proud. Your blood, sweat and tears wetting the dutty/soil of Guyana, moulded it into what it is now, today. You brought with you mangoes, guava, sidyam, wh**ey, star apple, monkey apple, sugar apple, soursop, coconut and so many other fruits and vegetables...sijan, poi, bora, seim, balanje, to name just a few, spices, achar, channa, roti, dal puri, curry, dal and rice..7 kind, kheer, mittai, chicken foot, poulouri, allu ball, baigani, puri leaf, tulsi, flowers, pujas. We can never repay you and are forever indebted to you.
I am so very proud of your genes and I pray that your Atma be at peace.
