Had a kick a** time at our Ladies Nite self defense seminar with Bridget McEliece leading the way with! Choke holds, break falls, strangling and more, but most importantly the confidence to keep ourselves safe in unexpected situations. Thanks Bridget for getting us all started on our self defense journey! 💪🏼

Ladies Nite is back! Join us Friday, January 20th at BRICK New York for a self-defense seminar. Self-defense can be a powerful tool for any woman to protect herself and make her feel more secure. It can also help make you more confident, empowered and feel better about yourself and your capabilities around others.
This will be taught by one of the best there is, Bridget McEliece. Bridget is the women’s team coach for Renzo Gracie NYC academy, an active competitor, and world silver medalist at adult black belt. She has also fought kickboxing and MMA fights.
A word from Bridget on what to expect, "We are going to cover situational awareness & body awareness coupled with easy and fun tactics on how to cause damage to others and keep yourself safe. We will be throwing, breaking and strangling one another to the best of our abilities expending a minimal amount of energy to achieve maximum results. Please were comfortable clothes and footwear!"

TURKEY BOWL FLOATER WORKOUT:
For Time:
2000 M ski
For Distance:
True Form Run in time it takes to complete the ski
One teammate works on the ski erg, pass handles off as you see fit.
As soon as partner 1 finishes their ski, they’ll move to the True Form and run for distance.
Athlete will run until the skier decides to pass off handles and move to True Form.
3rd person will rest until it’s their turn to ski.
Score: 2000 M time & True Form distance at time of completion
No sandbagging the run on this workout! Distance also counts toward your score - find a pace and strategy to get you the best results for both scores.
While order of the workouts for teams will be scheduled ahead of time - floater can be completed at any time that you’re not competing.
