I help managers achieve success by leading through their people.

Reconnected with author Anne Abel at another alumni event. These conversations remind me that good leadership starts with listening and growing — always.

Back at it after a full and fulfilling season of work.
The pictures aren’t perfect, but that’s real life. What matters is showing up.

What’s something you’ve been wanting to come back to?

Like a lot of leaders I coach, I have an inner critic. Sometimes it’s helpful... Most of the time it’s just loud.

I’ve been reading Chatter by Ethan Kross, it’s packed with real, research-backed ways to calm that voice and get back to what matters.

One shift I loved:
- Talk to yourself like you would a friend. (It sounds odd, but it works.)

Also? Tidying my space when my mind gets noisy... totally a game changer. Small habits, big shifts.

Highly recommended this read, especially if your inner voice could use a little coaching too.

Good conversation. Good company.

Took these last week after being reminded that leadership work isn’t meant to be done alone. We all need people who challenge us, listen well, and remind us to stay curious.

Grateful for the friends who keep me sharp. Grateful for the work that keeps me learning.

Change is hard—I feel it too.

Even small things can throw me off. I noticed this once on vacation... I showed up at a new villa and immediately felt that stomach-drop moment of, “Nope, I don’t like this.”

Turns out, it wasn’t about the place. It was about how quick I am to resist what’s new. Once I caught myself, took a breath, and gave it a real chance—I could finally enjoy where I was.

Leading through change is a lot like that. First, we need to notice our reaction. Then we have to decide if we’re willing to lean in anyway.

What helps you stay open to change—even when it feels uncomfortable?

Just me, outside on a sunny day—no filters, no pitch.

I’ve spent years behind the scenes helping leaders navigate change, tough calls, and messy transitions. But showing up online? That’s new for me. So this is a soft hello. A little window into who I am beyond work.

If you’re into real conversations about leadership, life and learning as you go—stick around. Let’s see where this goes.
