Year 6 of the PLM × UMass Program Successfully Completed

The sixth year of the partnership between Pacific League Marketing and the UMass McCormack Sport Management Program has officially wrapped up.

This year, we launched a new certificate-based online course with nearly 250 participants expected to complete the program, alongside seven live courses delivered throughout the year.

Over the past six years, the program has continued to evolve. One UMass faculty session even attracted more than 300 staff members from across the six Pacific League clubs.

We will continue creating opportunities for learning and knowledge exchange between Japan and the global sports industry.

【PLM × UMass 第6期プログラム終了】

Pacific League MarketingとUMass McCormack Sport Management Programによる第6期プログラムが無事に全日程を終了しました。

今年は修了証明書を発行するオンライン講座を新たに開設し、約250名の受講生が修了見込みとなっています。また、年間を通じて7つのライブコースを実施し、多くのスポーツ業界関係者が学びを深めました。

このプログラムは毎年進化を続けており、過去にはUMass教授陣による講義に、パシフィック・リーグ6球団から一度のセッションで300名を超えるスタッフが参加したこともあります。

これからも、日本と世界のスポーツ業界をつなぐ学びと交流の機会づくりに取り組んでいきます。

While visiting Japan, Kanta, an analyst from our U.S. office, had the opportunity to spend time with Morimatsu, who leads our Japan operations, and enjoy some of Japan’s sports culture together.

Although our teams are based on opposite sides of the Pacific, these in-person interactions help strengthen relationships, share perspectives, and deepen our understanding of the sports industry in both markets.

We hope to create more opportunities like this and continue building stronger connections between our U.S. and Japan teams.

弊社アメリカオフィスのアナリスト・カンタが一時帰国中に、日本統括の森松とともに日本のスポーツを満喫しました。

日米で拠点は離れていますが、こうした交流を通じて現場の空気や情報を共有できることは、私たちにとって大きな価値だと感じています。

これからも両拠点の往来を増やしながら、より強いチームづくりにつなげていきたいと思います。

Blue United President & CEO Takehiko Nakamura will continue serving as an advisor for the JSPIN initiative in FY2026.

JSPIN is a Japanese government initiative designed to support the international growth of Japan’s sports industry, with the secretariat operated by EY.

Since first becoming involved in 2023, Nakamura has continued working with many passionate professionals across the sports industry while gaining valuable experiences and perspectives through the initiative each year.

He will continue doing his best to contribute to the global growth of Japanese sports.
