I remember when I was trying to ‘grow my hip dips’ back in 2016 and you genuinely couldn’t make me believe that I couldn’t grow the (lack of) muscle in the dip. Like GURL… biology?? Hello?? 🥲

But fast forward although they still bug me sometimes in a skin tight dress I must admit they do look athletic and pretty super hero like if ya ask me😌

I used to not be able to leave the house without fake tan which looking back seems so stupid. As if anyone actually cares anyway but back then I was very in my head about it. I embrace a lil glow and the natural version of me now🙂‍↕️

Leg day from home?? NOT IMPOSSIBLE. Yesss I gained my size in the gym but many of the movements seen here I just… did in the gym? But could of done them at home too.

Equally not all of us have access to the gym so if you wanna challenge yourself give these a go. Remember to use a wall or something solid to hold onto if you need balance assistance 🙏

Hey so calisthenics is hard??😭My legs together single arm elbow lever is getting there! But I can only hold it just over a second, straddle is comfortable now though so that’s progress 🙂‍↕️

What level can you do?👀 A single arm lever is around 70% strength and 30% balance but shifts more to strength at level 7.

This skill demands:

• Straight-arm shoulder strength (depression + protraction)

• Anti-rotation strength (obliques, lats, deep core)

• Anti-extension strength (posterior pelvic control)

• Lever management (long body acting as one rigid unit)

A two arm lever is a great starting point since this requires less strength but allows you to get an understanding of elbow placement and how it feels to balance in a similar position.

I feel like we’re slowly slipping back in time to the 2000’s era where being super thin was overly glamourised.

I’ve personally been there, super skinny and weak and it did nothing for me physically or mentally. People thought I was mad when I started training to gain weight and strength, but it’s the best thing I ever did.

This isn’t to shame other body types, more so to remind you thay you can look however the f*ck you want. You’re never going to be everyones cup of tea anyway and you only get one run on this planet. So make sure you do whatever sets your soul on fire🙂‍↕️
