Wednesday night MCQMRC Raceway (Phoenixville) recap!

Features only race: (7 cars)
P4▶️P3

Nolan had a great race last night! He started off in 4th before getting a little low in one of the corners and hitting the turtles! He kept the car moving but this brought out a caution and moved him to the rear of the field. On the restart he moved his way through the field all the way up to 1st briefly!!

Unfortunately after he made the pass for 1st a full lap wasn’t completed before one of the other drivers had a pretty bad wreck into the wall bringing out the RED flag. Thankfully the other driver was ok and the safety equipment did its job!

Nolan was 3rd the last full lap so that’s where he would start on the restart but with time running out the race would finish under caution.

We are headed to MCQMRC Raceway (Phoenixville) tonight! With the next round of regional racing right around the corner and MCQMRC hosting we wanted to get one more night of practice in!

Regional race #2 recap!! First time at West End!

Heat: (7 cars)
P3 ▶️ P6
Nolan started P3 and with a great start made his way to P2! He held P2 for a few laps before getting tangled up in a wreck, the strike was called against Nolan sending him to the rear for the restart. Nolan was able to move his way back up one spot and finished P6 sending him to the B main.

B main (8 cars)
P6 ▶️ P6
Nolan started P6 and dropped back to P8 on the start. He made his way up to P5 but had a box violation on the restart setting him back two spots for the next start. Worked his way back to P5 before another wreck with the strike against Nolan again which meant to the rear again. Ultimately he worked his way back up and finished P6.

Overall it was a fun day! Some mistakes on Nolan’s part kept moving him back. Nolan strives to better his skills every lap he takes!

Saturday night race recap:

Heat: P1 > P5
Feature: P10 > DNF

Blackbird Quarter Midget Race Club put on a great show Saturday night! There was power wheels racing, many new faces visiting for the first time and Fireworks for victory laps!!! Unfortunately for us it just was not our night!!

Our driver did his part but the car just wasn’t having it. Nolan started P1 in his heat and held the lead for the first half of the race, unfortunately he was involved in a collision placed in the back and ended up with a flat tire slowing him way down and finishing in last. He never gave up tho! We swapped the tire out and made some other adjustments during the break.

Feature time Nolan started 10th out of an 11 car field moved his way up to 8th in the first lap but while making a pass his car jumped the huggie rail and popped the chain, brought him into the pits, got the chain on and as we pushed him back out the chain snapped!! We tried our best to get it fixed under caution but just ran out of time and our night was done!!! That’s racing though some times it’s just not your night.
