🥎🖤💛 TOURNAMENT RECAP | GOLD PREMIER CARRILLO 12U 💛🖤🥎
Playing up isn’t easy. But growth was never supposed to be comfortable!
We finished the weekend 1-2, but the record doesn’t tell the whole story.
Week after week, our girls step onto the field as one of the youngest and smallest teams competing. We could have taken the easier road, continued chasing rings, and stayed where we were comfortable. Instead, we chose to challenge these girls against tougher, older, and more experienced competition.
Why? Because we’re building something bigger than a trophy collection.
And this weekend, we’re starting to see that hard work pay off!
Our strong performance in pool play earned us a spot in the GOLD BRACKET! That’s an accomplishment worth recognizing, especially considering the level of competition these girls are facing. They’re not just showing up anymore. They’re competing, making adjustments, and proving they belong!
🔥 GAME 1 | WIN 18-2 vs. North Florida Spark Elite
Our offense came out swinging, putting up 10 runs in the first inning!
💥 Bryndle Miller delivered an inside-the-park GRAND SLAM!
💥 Naomi Jernigan went 2-for-2 and drove in four runs.
💥 Delaney Hilton and Raegan York combined for 8 strikeouts and a no-hitter!
💥 10 stolen bases, 8 hits, and ZERO defensive errors!
🔥 GAME 2 | LOSS 6-5 vs. Nitro
An absolute battle that came down to the final play!
Our girls fought back to take a 5-3 lead in the third inning before Nitro walked it off, 6-5.
Jayden Hunt recorded multiple hits, while Haylee Gause and Norah Bell helped drive in runs.
The outcome wasn’t what we wanted, but the fight and competitiveness were exactly what we want to see!
🔥 GAME 3 | LOSS 11-6 vs. NF Tribe Urbina
After falling behind early, our girls refused to quit!
We answered with SIX runs in the second inning, showing the resilience and fight this team continues to develop.
💥 Delaney Hilton delivered a two-run double.
💥 Haylee Gause swiped two bases.
💥 Five different players recorded hits!

THE BIGGER PICTURE 🖤💛
There’s a difference between building a team that can win today and developing players who will be successful tomorrow.
We aren’t interested in taking shortcuts just to collect rings. We want our girls to learn how to compete when they’re challenged, respond when things don’t go their way, and believe they belong on the field with anybody.
Earning our way into the Gold Bracket against this level of competition is another step in the right direction. It’s proof that the countless hours of practice, conditioning, and preparation are beginning to translate onto the field.
There will be growing pains. There will be tough losses. But there will also be moments when everything starts clicking, and we’re seeing more and more of those moments every weekend.
These girls are learning to compete at a higher level, and we’re incredibly proud of the progress they’re making.
To our parents, thank you for trusting the process, supporting these girls, and believing in what we’re building.
We’re not chasing easy wins. We’re developing competitors.
The rings will come. Right now, we’re putting in the work to make sure we’re ready when they do.
