Happy World Bicycle Day! Want to explore the refuge by bike but nervous about sharing the road? Join us Saturday June 13 between 10am - 2pm for our annual 'Let's Go Outside' celebration. During this open streets event, the refuge road is closed to vehicles beyond Lot 1 and open only to biking, walking, strollers, and other non-motorized uses to provide a safe and comfortable exploring experience for visitors of all ages and abilities. Bring your best light-up sneakers and handlebar streamers for a unique roll! Bonus: visit our bike safety station for a free 'ABC' safety check and helmet fitting. We’re hiring! MassBike is seeking passionate & engaging part-time cycling instructors to implement our “Safe Routes to Schools,” bicycle education clinics, workshops, group rides & other events across all 5 regions of the state.
Instructors will also work in local schools and community centers to host both on-bike and presentation-style safe cycling education. Our learn to ride education programming starts at K-1 and continues all the way to adults and seniors throughout Massachusetts.

Join ACM and Amesbury Outdoors for a bike ride down the historic Amesbury Riverwalk Trail. Learn about bike safety with Pedalin’ Fools and have a free bike safety check from 11:30am-1:30pm.
🛤️ Find our table at the trail entrance near 35 Water Street!
🪧 Begin your ride any time within the event hours. Go at your own pace and learn from path markers along the way.
🧭 Route Distance: 2.8 mi (1.4 each way)
Registration not required, but encouraged.
