It has been a while since listing anything. I've been dealing with a "new job", working way to many hours and training just enough to pull off 4-5 marathons a year. It's time to work less and start playing more, before I loose the rest of my "golden years". I'm hoping to find the time to list a few "healthy running" ideas, every now and then. Happy running!

Hi everyone, I've been recovering from my complete quad tendon repair surgery, now for over 7 months. It's been one of the toughest mental and physical challenges I've ever had to deal with, but now it's time to get inspired to "get up and running again"! Being a "long term goal person", I decided to work backwards and list page of the Toughest Road Marathons out there! I'm planning on to being ready for Vermont's very own Mad Marathon in September! Hope you are all well and getting out and doing the things you love to do.

Science Says Running Actually Lowers Inflammation in Your Knees | MapMyRun Contrary to conventional wisdom, science says running may lower inflammation in your knees.
One of Vermont's fastest courses, total elevation gain of 500 ft and net down of 2000 ft! Besides having a covered bridge, great country roads that follow a creek, this race is very well run even though it will only be it's second year. Even with tired legs I was able to pull of a age group PR! :) This will soon become one of the premier races for Vermont and should sell out quicker each year. It's worth checking out!

New England Green River Marathon The New England Green River Marathon is a rolling, net downhill Boston qualifier race starting in beautiful Marlboro, Vermont and following the course of the scenic Green River to Greenfield Community College in Greenfield, Massachusetts.
We're looking forward to completing our 31st State (Montana) next weekend and we're not helping out with the pace groups (pacing) for a change. I've been trying to taper, but it's hard to hold bake when finally having good weather his year! Hopefully the weather is great and my dead legs hold out :)

As everyone's "long run" getting longer with the warmer longer days coming. Your bodies nutrition becomes critical, pre-workout, during the run, and after for recovery.
