The Coastal RC. Indoor Speedway and Hobbies summer points series is all wrapped up and points accounted for. This series was such a blast as always. A lot was learned over the course of this series as I was able to put more time into the Schumacher's to get them dialed and keep them that way for the series.

I ran 17.5 2WD, 13.5 4WD, LMH, and FWD for the series and although it was a bit to handle the different disciplines we still got it done.

2WD for the day was great as very little was needed to be changed for the new layout. The car was gripped up all day after some early morning testing. Overall great day in the class and series as a whole. I was able to keep my second overall in the points and am amazed how much I improved over the course of the series.

4WD was another good day and overall for the series. Hardly anything had been changed to keep it on rails for the day and couldn't be happier with how consistent this car always is. After race 5 I had dropped to second overall in points but after the day was done was able to hold the second overall for the series.

LMH was a different story as it was still a new learning curve for me throughout the last few months. Not much to tell for this class but after some electronic issues, I ultimately did not finish the race but was able to pull 4th overall in the series.

FWD was great with a TQ and 1st on the day and technical 1st overall in the series as we only ran 2 out of the 6 races.

This was such a great series as always and I can't wait for the next one. It was great getting to race with my Locked-In Racing teammates Kevin Crowling and Jay Boustead as they always bring the heat and help keep me cool as we all do for each other. I couldn't be happier to be part of this team and get to call these guys my friends. These guys are a big reason I keep at it to try and improve and to get better and I can't thank them enough.

I want to give a huge shoutout to Barry and the crew for giving us an awesome place to race and hangout. Without places like this we wouldn't be able to enjoy this hobby. So come and check this place out for all your RC, Slot car drag racing, and TCG needs. They are always super helpful and nice, and if you want to get into racing or just RC in general, please come out and check this place out. There's no other place like it in VA.

Monday after the Summer Sizzler at Coastal RC. Indoor Speedway and Hobbies and phew what a long weekend but also a fun one too!
Friday was full practice and the boys were able to really get their cars good and prepped.

Will Patrick had his Blue Sky RC rigs in LMH and FWD. He was really making the effort and putting in the work to get his rigs dialed. Motor changes, setup tweaks, you name it, he was showing exactly why he's one of the top guys in any class he races. He was able to being home some hardware with a 2nd Place FWD and 4th place I'm LMH. He stuck with it in FWD and was able to bring that plague home!

Jay Boustead entered in F1 and VTA and was up at the track Friday for practice and was making sure his rigs were sound! VTA was extremely stacked this weekend and F1 was as competitive as its ever been! Jay had his work cut out for himself all day with his chassis but he never gave up and never quit no matter what the track or his rigs threw at him! He came home with 5th in F1 and 6th in VTA. VTA ran Triple A Mains so it was a long day for the VTA boys. Jay never gave up and never stopped fighting! He continues to show each and every week that he's a top driver and he also has something coming up soon on the horizon so stay tuned 😎

And that brings us to a surprise from Kevin Crowling who decided to come out of what everyone but him was calling "retirement" to run his WGT car for the first time in about 6 months. He wasn't very confident but he knows that car and knows his capabilities. He wasn't able to qualify due to previous engagements and helping the team but he was able to squeak out a 5th place. He said and I quote "I think it's time to get back to it". Glad to have him back racing! He continues to work behind the scenes and make sure the guys are top priority. He may or may not have something on the horizon as well so stay locked-in for that yall😁

Couldn't be more proud of all the guys with their hard work and dedication! They really work hard and put in tons of effort and never give up no matter how stuff is playing out!

Wanna thank all the competitors and friends that race with the guys and help them each and every race weekend! We couldn't do it without yalls help and kindness! Those that helped this weekend know who they are and we are very thankful😊

Well the Summer Sizzler at Coastal RC. Indoor Speedway and Hobbies is a wrap and man was it a fun event.

I ran FWD and LMH for the weekend and the cars did great and performed amazingly.

Got some good practice in on Friday after some changes to cars and a couple loaner motors got the cars as dialed as they were going to get.

Going into qualifying Saturday, I had made a hasty decision to change the gearing in the FWD before round one and luckily it didnt hurt the cars performance as i had no practice with the gearing change. Luckily I was able to qualify 3rd for the mains in FWD. LMH was on rails all day, just couldnt hold the line to get the fast laps that were needed to catch 4th place leaving me 5th coming out of qualifying for the mains.

Sunday mains was where everything would come together for FWD. Starting 3rd on the grid I was able to hold it for most of the race with 4th place right on me the whole time. After a breakout from the leader we moved up to 2 and 3 where it would be a batlle till the end where ultimatley 3rd would have LVD kick in on the last lap giving me second for the day. Onto LMH where i started 5th on the grid and on the tone everyone quickly pulled away but some good clean driving would let me come up into 4th and hold it till the end.

It was such a great event with some great people and a good learning experience moving forward with onroad. I want to thank everyone that travelled in from out of town and everyone that showed up to support Coastal and the event.

My Locked-In Racing teammate Jay Boustead did great this weekend even with the issues he had, he drove great all weekend is only getting better. Huge shoutout to Kevin Crowling for loaning me a motor for the weekend and helping out and supporting as he always does, hes the glue for this team and genuinely helps keep us going.

Another shoutout to Barry, his family, and the rest of the coastal crew that helped get everything for the event prepared and helped keep it smooth all weekend. Also want to shout out Mike Marean for lending me a motor for the weekend to help me try to keep up with the fast guys.

All setup for mains today. Let's see if we can bring home some hardware

Qualifying is underway here at the Summer Sizzler hosted Coastal RC. Indoor Speedway and Hobbies and there's already a lot of tight racing here in Qual 1 and its only going to get faster. Come on out and check out the racing action today and tomorrow.

This past Saturday was round 3 of the Summer Series at Coastal RC. Indoor Speedway and Hobbies and boy was it a great day.

I ran 17.5 2WD, 13.5 4WD, and LMH for the day.

Starting with LMH, the car was great all day long as the more I played with gearing the car kept getting faster. I Stayed fairly consistent through seeding and round 1 of qualifying. I wasn't able to finish round 2 as I had a motor screw come out jamming up my pinion which ultimately ate my spur gear. Starting last in the main I was able to hold pace for a couple laps before everyone started to pull away. Luckily some late race wrecks from the rest of the field allowed me to come up to 3rd for the final minute where i was able to hold it for the podium.

Onto 4WD with another great day in that class. The buggy was on rails all day especially with this being a fast layout for offroad. I was able to TQ for the class and after some really close battles with Fred Radloff came home in second. He was driving great all day and cant wait for more.

Lastly is 2WD and just another good day with that car. I was having some traction issues in seeding and round 1 of qualifying but was able to sort that out for round 2 and the main. The main I would start 2nd behind Jim Merrits with Fred right behind me. On the tone it was a battle the whole 5 minutes between Fred and I, going back and forth not letting up on each which made for amazing racing. I was able to pull 2nd at then for the day giving me valuable points for the mid point of the series.

My Locked-In Racing teammate Jay Boustead was killing it all day in both offroad and onroad and its always a good time hanging out and racing with him. Can't forget Kevin Crowling showing up to support the 2 of us and honestly hes a great friend and teammate always helping us out when we need it, whether it be parts, tires, or just overall support he has for us, He's the glue for this team and I couldn't be more happy that I'm able to call them my teammates and friends.

This past weekend was round 2 of the Summer Points Series at Coastal RC. Indoor Speedway and Hobbies and it was good to be back getting in some track time and some good early stage points.

I ran 17.5 2WD, 13.5 4WD, and a new class for myself LMH.

Started off the day with LMH and the car felt great all day through seeding, qualifying and the mains giving me a 5th on the day for the class. Tony Rumple and myself had some good passes that could have ended badly but with his experience we were able to get close with no contact and not slow each other down. Aaron Martin and myself had some great battles all day and I cant wait for more in the future.

Next was onto offroad with 4WD, and let me just say it was a fire storm from the start. A bad wreck the week prior in practice left me with unknown issues that would keep showing up all day. But nonetheless I was able to overcome them. By the skin of my teeth I was able to come around Chris Harrison in qualifying with a TQ for the day. Him and I had some great battles all day, it kept both of us on our toes all day as we were right there with each other the whole time, and it really showed in the main but I made a small error and he was able to come around for the win and giving me second on the day. Couldn't be happier with how him and I were driving all day when it ultimately came down to who can hold the line under pressure and not break.

Lastly was 2WD and the car was great all day. I was able to seed and qualify into the A Main where I would have to hold off not only Chris but some other great drivers as well. Ultimately my race was cut short due a the shock shaft unscrewing itself. A bummer but was still a good day overall and a learning experience.
